I'm a newbie at growing and I was considering growing for my first time and I don't know shit about growing anything. I want to grow the cheapest, and fastest way possible, so I have a few question's. 1. Should I grow indoor or outdoor? If I growed indoor I would have to just stick them in my closet, but I can't spend any money on lighting because I don't have a lot of money right now. And if I growed outdoor, what I would want to do is just grow them in pots in my backyard. 2. I've been reading these forums a lot and I'm confused on germinating. I read different things but can't I just stick the seeds in a pots with soil? If not then what do I have to do before I stick them in pots?
ok to grow indoors you really need lights. im not an outdoor grower but it may be too late to plant outdoors depending on where you live. germination however i do know something about. if you really want your plants to sprout then you should not just simply place them in soil. there is a very easy way that always works well for me and thats the paper towel method which can be found http://forum.grasscity.com/showthread.php?t=15076&highlight=germination+101
I forgot to mention where I live. Well I live in Southern California. And I only have about 50 bucks right now so I want to grow the cheapest way possible. The seeds I'm getting with S&H will be a total of 22 dollers. So that leaves about 30 to throw around and I need to use as little of it as possible.
If I germinated the seeds with the paper towel method, and then just put a seed in one of these and just put it in my backyard and watered it everyday, would the plant grow and be alright?
It's too late for outdoors, and you need lights indoors. My suggestion is wait until you have more money. http://www.geocities.com/quickgrowguide Also, Go to that link and read it a couple times. This way you know what you're getting yourself into before you start, and you can be better prepared.
If I germinated a seed with the paper towel method, then placed it in one of these and stuck it in my closet and had a HPS light running 18 hours a day from the time it sprouts, and stuck a moisture meter in the pot, and watered it everytime it was dry, would the plant grow and be alright? Would all that be good?
