Few DT questions

  1. I tried to look for these answers, but can't find anything =_=

These all pertain to a random screening at a medical office which specializes in employment testing.

    1) How many of you have been pat down before a test? If I strap a bottle to my leg, should I be fine?

    2) I believe it's closed doored with no one in there with me, I know there are rules saying you can't have video camera's in the bathroom, but I'm still a little paranoid. If I get into the bathroom and there is no one in there with me, I should be fine taking the bottle out and just pouring it into the cup, with no worries about having to hide it while in the room, correct? Or should i still be as discreet as possible?

    3) I read about freezing pee, and I found some helpful things RFMJ posted about it but I still have some extra questions. What if I don't know how how cold I'm freezing it at? Does that drastically change things? I'll have a chance to collect the sampl 14-15 hours before the test, so if I just stick it in my standard freezer and then in the morning pull it out and let it thaw, should it be fine to appear as if it is fresh? But I might be able to wake up in the morning very early and get the sample then, but it'd be a few hours ebfore the test with no freezing, will the specimen lose it's metabolites in that few hours?

    4) When you go to a place specifically designed for employment testing, is it a good chance it's lab, or would theys till be dip stick?

edit: 5) I've got one of those synthetic urine packets, which I was planning to dump the formula out, have my friend pee in that cup, and then put the heater on that... because it's actual urine, and not synthetic, will the heating pad do something weird to it that I shouldn't do?

    Thanks

  2. Shit... anyone? I'm most concerned about number 1... cuz I need to get my game plan going and if there is a chance for a pat down, I'm worried =_=

  3. Come on... there are no answers that I could easily find on this website for these questions, so I can't just search for them.

I'm getting more and more nervous as I read stuff on the web... such as if a company does it right, they'll put you in a gown etc so you can't have things tied to you... and I'm so fucking nervous, one of my friend's said they accompany you... but I don't know.

When I went to the headshop, the guy asked where at and when I said he recommended the synthetic, so I supposed they probably don't. Plus when I went there for my pre-employment, they didn't accompany me. But maybe they have different procedures for random vs. pre-employment.

I'm so fucking nervous right now... fucking christ.

  4. Ok let me try and tackle one question at a time.

    1) You should be fine strapping to your leg. First of all, a pat down is ONLY legal if your are suspected of having a knife or gun on you, other than that, you need to give someone consent to give you a pat down. If they ask you to concent to one, kindly say that it would make you feel uncomfertable, they can't really do anything about it. They 99.9% of the time will not ask you anyways. If they do have to pat you down, they can't frisk the crotch regions, to well, with out risking a sexual harrasment law suit (god knows the US is antsy about that stuff as it is) so you really don't have anything to worry about.

    2) You should be completely fine, as you said video cameras are strictly forbidden in bathrooms, not because of the "seeing" you pee, because it's illegal to "tape" you pee. However, they may escort you in, or there may be 1 sided glass. You only have to really worry about this on probationary terms. If it is merely work place screenin, again the majority of the time, its a closed door and you can just pull it out and do it.

    3) I am not entirely sure on this answer. But as far as I know you can put the frozen pee in a separate container of hot water, and it should reheat relatively fast. Urine's melting point is low. Buy a small electronic temperature, and make sure you turn the noises off. Try to bring that with you if you can, so as to check the temperature of the urine, which should be as close to your body temp (98 degrees) as possible. As for urine losing metabolites, fresh pee can last up to a week and I've heard of frozen pee lasting up to a year, so don't worry about that.

    4) It entirely depends on the company. More often than not it will be a urine screen, not a test. A urine screen is a much cheaper and harder to fool, and of course less accurate, test that most companies use. The opposite of a drug screen is a drug test (or GC/MS test) which look at the whole metabolite and decide if its TCHA (the metabolite caused by THC). The reason the screen is harder to fool is because it quickly scans, so to speak, and picks up anything resembling THCA, or a portion of it, so a lot of detox drinks, which break down THCA, don't work. You don't really have to worry about that since your substituting, I just enjoy rambling. As for the dipstick, I'd advise not using weed for a week before the test and vigorously using mouthwash and brushing your teeth 2 times a day. Dipsticks are the best as they are so easy to pass.

    5) The heater won't damage the pee, if that's what you mean. Pee is pretty resilient, and the tests don't check the pee to see if anything is done to it, just to see if their are drugs in it. The pee doesn't even have to pee human urine. You can use dog piss if your heart so desires.

I hope that answers everything! I may have gone a little overboard. I also really suggest you reading this and as he say's practice a couple of times before you go ahead with the test. You only really get one shot.

  5. Thanks. +rep

So if I leave the urine at room temp throughout the night for atleast 15 hours, the metabolites have not been broken down fully and it should be good to go for a test tomorrow?

  6. Yes on the metabolites, but that's a bad idea. As in, don't leave it over night and use that pee with out heating it first. Most tests make sure the pee is normal body temp. If they didn't people could just bring in a jar of pee and pour it in. It has to be like between 95 and 99 degrees or something like that. That's why I suggest the thermometer.

Again though, you can leave it over night and heat it in the morning on one of those coffee cup office heaters (those are awesome) and the pee will be good.

  7. I have a heater no worries.

  8. One more quick question:

I will only have an exactly 2 oz bottle on me... if I don't fill up enough with my clean urine, then well I'm screwed... so is it bad to mix two people's urine? Meaning, will the lab be able to tell that there is more then one person in the urine? I'll have XXtra Clean in me JUST in case if that makes a difference. But I think I have everything worked out.... assuming they don't pat me down...

  9. It won't matter if you mix urine. They don't check urine for anything besides the drugs. And just so you know, you need about 80cc of urine.

  10. ive never been patted down before a DT and your fine having the cup and pouring it the room unless its a DT with the inspector i nthe room watchin you then crotch it with a tube comin out of your fly and squeeze the sack of pee you hid and it should look real
