What are some recommended fertilizers for an indoor soil grow? I'd like to find some decent fertilizer without breaking the bank.
for growing in soil, i use a balanced fertilizer like 14-14-14 or 10-10-10...whatever i have. To promote flower development, switch to a fert. that has more phosphorus, like 15-30-15. Peters may make different kinds of fertilizer, but the kind I'm familiar with is water soluble. You mix it with water before applying. The drawback to that as I see it is you have to apply it on a regular schedule. Granular, and continuous release ferts. would be better in a grow that you don't visit all the time.
I used peters super bloom 10-50-10 for yrs. Last I got was 3yrs ago? Last I tried I couldn't find. MG took over lowes, home depot and wal mart. Miricale Grow is BAD. I now use Cha ching. watersoluble and ph balanced. As w/peters I use from clone to harvest. The CC is 4x cost of peters, so where is the peters? alex
a good all around stand alone fert is "pure blend." for hydro, pure blend pro. there's a veg and a flower formula. i also highly recommend pro-tekt from dyna gro. the silicon/silica additives promote very healthy root systems.
Hiigel, chill out please. If you are looking for cheap but good all-around ferts then Peters and Schultz are two good brands, both chemical formulations that you mix into your watering. If you are looking for something specifically designed for MJ and/or organic then there are many names and many prices out there.
hey this is my first time growing and i am having great results with Earth Juice Grow. i also bought the bloom and the microblast for flowering as well. the y are all organic so synthetic blends or anything. each bottle was 6.75 i think give r take 10 cents. most hydro stores carry there stuff or you can go to eartjuice.com and it has all the info on everything. hope this helps you out a little
ok i know this is gonna sound kinda dumb to alot of you but what are those three number sequences yall are using called (10-10-10 or 12-15-12)......and my plants have just sprouted and are looking great....wondering what kind a fert i should use and when i should start it the pics are here http://forum.grasscity.com/absolute-beginners/172887-first-grow-check-out-my-babies.html
The three numbers tell you the nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (NPK) percentages of the fertilizer in that order. For example, a fertilizer that says 10-10-10 contains 10% nitrogen, 10% phosphorus, and 10% potassium. When your plant is in vegetative growth you want a fertilizer that contains more nitrogen than the other nutrients. When flowering you want a fertilizer that has more phosphorus than the other nutrients.l
