Yeah, I've made small stick fences around a few long season plants that were in danger of beeing trampled or eaten by goats pigs or deer. I I do Is stick three posts (also cut from trees) around the plant and tie sticks from post to post making a three sided fence that is not very obvious, because it's all natural, and not much taller than the little plant. After the plants got big enough to survive on their own, I pull the fences out of the ground and hide them off to the side, I can use it for a different plant later if needed.
i just put salt around the bucket so danm slugz wont get to the plant... its in my back yard garden, so i have a big fence around it all the plants.. it set for one side, that is open.. was close but they use the wood, so now i need to put something up there so danm dog wont eat the plants....
