Feeling jittery over sativa strain?

Discussion in 'Marijuana Consumption Q&A' started by solid_snake, Oct 28, 2012.

  1. Is this normal? I feel like when I smoke sativa I can't sleep at night at all. I feel no couch-lock whats so ever. Instead, I feel so amped up and I want to do something and at the same time I know I'm high as a kite. Ive never felt this kind of high before with bud. I've been smoking for years now and I'm sure I've smoked sativa at least once you know? Or is sativa just that rare? Do more people sell indica because it's perhaps more addicting so they can get their customers coming back to them for more? I don't smoke as much of this current strain of sativa as much as the usual bud I get, but I dont know if its because I know I won't be able to sleep at night again thats why I don't like smoking it as much lol.

  2. I've had this happened before where I just wanna get baked and pass out and go to sleep for the night but you end up keep smoking and smoking all your weed because you keep getting more energy id say just do a lot of rips in a row and fall asleep that way but that's my own opinion

  3. Well that wasn't the point I was trying to get at. What I was trying to say is, if it's normal for sativa to be keeping you awake and giving you lots of energy? Or perhaps it was laced?

  4. Nah its a pretty normal thing id say but I would also say that not all sativa highs are going to give you as much of a jittery feeling, I do feel as though this is normal

  5. Are you new to smoking? I ask cause you asked if Indica is more addicting haha and you asked if it was laced, no it's not laced it's probably just a high sativa dominant strain, you'll be fine

  6. Are you talking to me?

  7. Indicas make you tired and chill and sativas make you hyper and uplifted, so that means you had a sativa.

  8. Well I also notice i grind my teeth when I smoke this strain. Its almost like I'm cracked out or something

No, I was talking to OP.

Sativa are high in thc content and low in cbd content. Thc is what gives you the energy feeling and some get an almost anxious feeling (maybe why your grinding your teeth). Indica are high in cbd content, which is responsible for the couch locked feeling. So no, it's not laced. Probably just a strong sativa.

If it were some other drug like meth or crack you'd definatley know, it's probably your first time with a sativa dominant strain, you're fine you're just overthing things

  12. Well I guess I found my new best friend. I love this strain. No couch-lock at all and I can use it for working out or playing sports. Would smoking indica couter-act the effect of not being able to sleep?

  13. I read on GC somewhere that the reason indica dominant strains are much more common is because indica plants yeald more bud meaning higher profits.

Actually, indica is the type that gives you couch-lock. Sativa strains would suit your needs better.

Yes if you smoked an indica later that day you should get the couch-locking and be able to sleep.

  17. In my experience with the pure sativa malawi gold which I got from a friend of mines garden it is real weird experience but I love it. But itds normal to feel awake and non drowsy.

  18. Now that I think about it, me not being able to sleep due to caffeine or other energy drinks feels different from the sativa way of not being able to sleep. When I can't sleep from an energy drink that's because my heart is racing and my body is wide awake. But the sativa way of me not being able to sleep feels so weird and different its the first few times i felt this way. I can't sleep on sativa at all because my mind wont stop THINKING! My heart isn't racing at all and my body feels normal and calm. Every time I try to go to sleep, my mind will start thinking of something again and its preventing me from sleeping.
