Feeling foggy and sluggish the day after...

Discussion in 'Experienced Cannabis Enthusiasts' started by Titch, Sep 11, 2012.

  1. Hey blades :hello:

Never used to get this but recently it's been every day after I smoke
I've been smoking for about 5 years, daily for about a year or so but the last couple weeks, i've just been so god damn foggy throughout the day, zoning out, lack of concentration, forgetful etc. I've taken multiple t-breaks (2 weeks each, one was 3 weeks) but it doesn't really help.

Am i missing something out here? i.e, vitamin or omega-3 supplements or something along those lines? :(

    Thanks guys! :smoke:

  2. How's your diet? Cig smoker? Do you exercise?

Maybe you need to switch to vaping.

  3. Do you smoke close to the time when you fall asleep?
I used to have that problem and I stopped smoking right before I fall asleep and I don't get that "hangover" feeling any longer

Oh yeah forgot about those, I should have put them in the OP, sorry dude.

I have a healthy diet, exercise and work out regularly and don't smoke cigs.
I'll get a MFLB when I have the money but will it actually make a difference? I smoke once a day, at night

EDIT: Iluvatar, cheers dude i'll try that tonight and smoke about an hour or two earlier :)

  5. I have personally been only vaping for many weeks now and have found it to make a tremendous difference in my energy levels, mental clarity, lung capacity, and sort of overall well being.

When you say healthy diets, you get plenty of green leafy veggies, fruits, some complex carbs and lean proteins? Avoid soy products too because soy can increase your estrogen levels, or so I've heard, which'll make you feel less energized and confident.

An intense exercise regiment also helps keep away those sluggish/foggy feelings.. really getting the heart pumping and breaking a sweat keeps me vitalized.

    All the best OP :)

  6. i vape once a day, just at night. i also am very active and eat a healthy diet. i still feel groggy in the morning... but smoking makes me even more groggy.

i eat an orange first thing in the morning. eating/drinking a fresh citrus seems to help a lot if it's the first thing i eat (on an empty stomach). more so than coffee. i'm no nutritionist, but i went to one for my diet plan and she said that a citrus first thing in the morning supposedly "jump starts" your metabolism.

that said, i usually like a cup of coffee with the rest of my breakfast. by this point, i'm usually feeling pretty good--no grogginess!

  7. I'm the same way. I only smoke at night, and def get a hangover feeling in the morning. I don't think it's something that can be fixed actually. Especially with a very healthy diet that consists of greens and other anti oxidants. Because youre just constantly "cleaning" out your system, leaving you with a withdrawal type feeling every day.

It's more about the strains. Indicas at night, will leave you with that feeling. Sativas won't really do that( in my case as least) however also harder to sleep with that. So like I said, just something I deal with.

  8. I mean, it's normal to feel a LITTLE groggy when you first wake up, that's part of waking up lol..

Splash your water on some face and eat a lil food, get the blood pumping and you should be good to go

  9. ^^^^^

Right. And a lot of it just depends on the person too. I'm someone with bad allergies...sinus problems. So I know the weed will have that affect on me the next day. It is what it is. Just find out what causes the symptoms ( with anything) and decide if you want to deal with it or not.

Let me clarify about the eating healthy comment. Just referring to foods with antioxidants. Obviously it's important to eat healthy. Don't want to confuse anyone .

  10. maybe try getting up 45 mins earlier and go for a nice walk or jog i think that would help.

  11. Im the same, I only smoke once a day now at night because I need it to sleep, I used to smoke all day for a long time though. I always go to bed about 2 - 3 hours after my session, when im heavily on the come down of the high. for me its way more intense in the morning but actually lasts all day, i call it "after baked" lol. I never feel even slightly sober even though I smoke once a day. I think if you get really high every time it just kinda builds up too much or something? I dunno lol

  12. I read this after waking up hazy this morning for the first time in a while, only had a cone and a spliff last night before watching some tv and unwinding from a very busy weekend at work.
However, since waking up I've had my morning ciggie and coffee, I am slowly awakening and the grogginess is moving to my stomach, which makes sense now because I brought two burgers home from work on for me and one for the house mate, house mate was out, munchies kicked in and I ate both, so I think a good way of avoiding grogginess is to make sure you drink plenty of water whilst high and watch what your eating even if you get the munchies haha

  13. Depends how much sleep I get usually. If I fall asleep at eight and wake up at six, I feel much better than I do with only five or six hours of sleep
