I've still yet to take a gravity bong. That could be another possibility for you. At least use a socket or something for a bowl over alum foil.

ha the stoner ingenuity! gotta love it. i made a mini bong out of a 12 ounce sprite bottle and a socket. the first 2 times i tried it i thing i fucked it up. at first i had the carb at the top, which doesn't work as well i hear, so i covered that one up and made one on the side. i think it was too small, so last weekend i made the carb hole bigger, and now i'm proud of Little Green . as soon as i got that first gooooood hit off of it (3rd times the charm!), i was plesantly surprised. any other suggestions aside from the classic watter bottle/gravity bong/ apple pipe? i like to experiment lol

Does it really matter where the carb is?

 

Fuck, my first year I was a way light smoker (once or twice a month) so I was using pop cans. Kinda miss those days.

 

i really dont know. i saw it in the video comments of the youtube video that taught me. so i gave it a shot. maybe its easier for the air entering the bong to push the smoke upwards if the air comes from the bottom? with every bong i've ever seen, the "carb" or slide or whatever is at the bottom. so im guessing that all those bong companies know what they're doing. and it worked a little better for me i think. and the carb was bigger.

 

That does make a lot of sense, although i believe the main reason of a carb is to relieve the pressure on the inside. And the suction of you inhaling from the mouthpiece to the hole will "pull" the smoke into your lungs. But nonetheless; I guess it'd be worth a shot to move my carb down a little on my homemades.

 

my buddy wanted to smoke a joint but couldnt use weed to roll a whole one so id roll a sorta spliff, have however much weed ya wanna toke on one side of the j and the rest tobacco
only need a little bit of weed but ya still get to smoke a joint. then when the weeds gone either smoke the cig or toss it. and the weed doesnt taste like tobacco, at least til ya get to the tobacco
