How long do i give neuts during flowering. When do i stop neuts and begine just water flush? Should i ease up on regular neuts and give more bloom neuts at the end? I was told once hairs become 3/4 amber to stop giving neuts and give just water. well how long do i give them just water? when do i stop giving water all togather I'm 6weeks into flower under cfl's can someone explain what there process is on a weekly schedule. start to finish. I'm a little confussed
Best to follow the instructions of the nutrient line up your using. Usualy start flushing with just water the last 2 weeks but going just by hairs isnt always what works best, I use a cheap 30X pocket microscope and look at the trichomes. For trichomes when there are more cloudy then amber colored trichomes you will have more of a head high and when more amber then cloudy you will have more of a body high. Quite a few people shoot for about a 50/50 amber to cloudy ratio for both body and head high. For a 50/50 ratio I usualy start flushing when their about 60% cloudy to amber ratio.
I'm using Canna A-B and Bloombastic. I have a 40x microscope on its way. what I have heard on watching trichomes. Is that once 80% of trichomes have a head or a ball on top(whatever you wanna call that) I should start flushing. Here is my question once i determine when to flush how long do i give just water? Then how long do i go with no water?? Or do you go from flush to harvest?
I dont use that nute line up but somebody here probably does. For trichomes I never heard of doing that. On my plants when trichomes go from clear to about 65% cloudy and 35% amber thats when I starty to flush by time there done there about 50/50 cloudy and amber. As for water you can water upto the day you harvest but I usualy stop about a day or two before harvesting.
Flushing depends on your patience. Many old timers will flush for up to two weeks but most people these days don't have that kind of patience and will flush for a couple of days and then harvest but if you don't water for that last day or two like the guy above said it will cut down on drying time after harvest.
Alright so i should go as schedule week to week checking trichomes. When i determine they are 50% cloudy and 50%amber they are ready for harvest? Ill start using just water when trichomes are about 60/40.. How long can i go with no water. Also if you dont mind, what are your guy's curing techniques?
When the trichomes are about 65% cloudy 35% amber I go ahead and harvest, the trichomes will continue to turn amber for a time after the plant is cut down. As for curing you want to hang them up to dry atfer trimming in a cool dark place for a while untill the stems just below the bud either cracks or breaks then their ready to be put into Mason jars to cure for a while burping the jars 1-2 times a day from anywhere between 40-60 minutes for the first week then after that I only do it every couple of days. I try to let them cure for atleast 1 month.
