Feds monitoring me?

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by E4u2H8J9, Nov 18, 2011.

  1. I've heard that the federal government can and does monitor and record every transaction made at a dispensary. I was told not to buy too much too quickly because they will be suspicious of me. I know that I'm not in that range, as I buy very little at a time.

    But is this true?

  2. Why would the feds even care about legitimate patients purchasing less than an oz from a dispensary? They would be going after local grow ops, or dispensaries and collectives instead of patients purchasing their medicine.

I'm not worried about anything. I was just asking if they really do go after people who buy weight. This is out of curiosity.

  4. well i know here in colorado that the MMED will look at people who purchase 2oz's every day or bounce from shop to shop buying the daily maximum.

but thats not the feds by any means, the feds dont care.

edit: so to answer ur question no that is not true, to be able to monitor soemthing like that they would have to have every dispensary use some sort of POS system and or turn in records to them monthly or quarterly or something like that.

how will the feds be able to see who buys what from my store when they dont have access to that information unless they come in and take it>?

That's a great point man. Thank you for posting. Very informative.

  6. no prob man, but definitely dont fret about the feds watchin ya, unless your growing an obscene amount of pot or seomthing else extremely illegal lol

  7. in times of purchasing more than usual you could just explain it as having a bad flair up for a few days of whatever your medical condition is. otherwise you could say you are buying it to make oils and edibles or whatever

  8. Look out your window. Do you see the white van out on the street? Its them. You have to find a door, a window- get out of there now!

If you run into trouble, remember: Follow the white rabbit :smoking:

Sweetie, do you realize just HOW MANY transactions that would be? I live in a very rural area, and my local dispensary has a constant stream of customers! Only the grocery store and drug store do more business from what I see!

The feds could just about solve the unemployment problem if this rumor were true! They would need thousands of new clerks to keep track of it all! If you used a credit card, they could track your purchases, so just pay cash!

  10. I'm not saying they do, but if they were to I imagine the reason is some people are buying it and selling it on elsewhere. I don't really know how the medical weed world works, just a thought I had.:smoke:

  11. And there we have it why Wall Street desperately wants to control this market for themselves, succinctly stated.:D

  12. Paranoia is a helluva emotion.

  13. ..why are you all jumping on this guy, he isn't paranoid, he is curious, being smart. To all you who think the feds and DEA only go after top dogs, think again holmes. They go after anyone including guys selling dime bags on the corner. They catch the small fish and work they're way up to the big fish.

Anyone who is jumping from dispensary to dispensary buying bulk is asking for attention.
