None of the 'risks' are backed up, they report it can't kill you, they won't let people submit stories about it not being bad, they won't compare it with alcohol and tobacco, and they're statistics are on people who *don't* smoke, and they're not backed up either.

can someone straighten this out for me? ppl with schizophrenia have traces of it in the family and then after that they start toking, it gets even worse, right? its not like these are perfectly heathly ppl then they start smoking then they obtain schiz?
What the myth is all about is marijuana allegedly triggers schizophrenia in those who are going to develop it anyway. People who are not predisposed to schizophrenia do not trigger the disease. The part that is supposed to scare you is that no one knows if they are predisposed or not. Like I said this is a myth and not true. The truth is schizophrenics are much more likely to use marijuana than the rest of the population, largely as a coping mechanism. The "studies" just give surveys to mentally ill people and ask them if they used pot as a teenager. It is basically the same thing as the gateway theory.
I seen the first video on TV a couple times. My conclusion: It's awesome. Each time I watch it I decipher it again. Kid takes 1 hit at a 12 year old's birthday party, next week takes some E, seems to get a lot taller, yells and shit a lot at his mom, fucks around in school and drops a bag of weed in front of a teacher. What kind of fuck kind of stupid kid is he to have it sitting around his locker on top of a binder? And for the second, it's just another BS propaganda video.

Fucking Harper! So let me get this straight: Weed --> Ecstasy --> AAAARGGGGHHH ROOOAARG RAAGE --> Weed falling out of locker. And the weed = schizophrenia thing is a result of distorted information from misinterpreted studies. If you're high risk for schizophrenia, drugs and alcohol are going to increase that risk. I believe the schizophrenia correlation with alcohol abuse is very similar to that with marijuana abuse.

this whole thing is fucked, man we as canadians would be out of economical depression if weed was legal, like if they just legalize it and let the people who want to do it do it, and for their own reasons then everything would be good, there would be alot less fighting, more jobs, it would lower the crime rate, and as we know it , it could potentially end the drug war, and then harpers response is yeah let me spend 30 million on telling privillaged canadian kids to not smoke pot, well he could be taking that 30 million and giving it to haiti or something to better someone elses unprivillaged life. I dont understand it im 20 and i feel like i could almost run the country better than harper, the fact that all of this is happening makes me disgusted, this cant go on any longer and we cant let it, we have to make a change, we have to take our rights and our country back in a respectful way!
We are all fighting a psychological war on cannabis. for real. I am. There's the truth and the shitload of people that choose to be ignorant or have been subjected to years of brainwashing. But its difficult to know the real truth without some convincing medical research. That's the problem. The pharmaceutical companies would never let the truth come out. At least there's something out there covering up the truth, blinding our minds. They use every excuse they can possibly find, to discourage the use of this one SPECIFIC plant even for people that are deathly ill. They are treated like criminals for simply possessing it. I think a law should come out saying that all nature belongs to God (the US already said they trust in God). God made it, why should we be in trouble for having it? They say it causes everything they can think of and we know it hasn't been proven.
This. Canada already has plenty of bud. Why won't it be legalized so fewer tax dollars are spent and more are earned through taxation? It's only illegal now because it was illegal for the past ~70 years, and that was on BS morals and propaganda, just like these videos.
