  1. for me it's nirvana unplugged. that was his single best performance, and his last if i'm not mistaken

  2. Garth Brooks double live album

holla! hahaha, but for real, that's mine :D

  3. i use to listen to brooks back in the day. thunder rolls was a good ass song

  4. gov't mule live at the Roseland Ballroom is amazing. Wishbone Ash Live Dates is also fantastic. Slightly Stoopid Acoustic Roots live and direct is another one of my favorites.

All I listened to this summer were live albums so I acquired quite a liking for them. I actually prefer live albums as long as the quality isn't too bad. I've really been digging a Neil Young Box Set I got. It has all kinds of live stuff Its stuff from the early 60s until the Harvest era so around 72 or 73. Its all unrealeased Live music. The next set is coming out later with everything from Harvest until the end of the 80s.

  5. neil young is the shit...cept for that one album with the weird voice

  6. Yeah he kind of went even farther off the deep end in the 80s. He was already pretty far out there but he just went that last step. On most of the shows in that box set he just talks for like 20 minutes and it doesn't make any since. I guess it was the heroin, acid, coke, pot, and alcohol combo haha. The man knows how to live.:smoke:

  7. haha damn that's one hell of a combo.
it doesn't suprise me that it was in the 80s when he went off the deep end. that wasn't the best decade of music imo

  8. Queens Of The Stone Age: Over The Years And Through The Woods
    Arctic Monkeys: At The Apollo

Those 2 are my favorite live albums at the moment, live recordings if done well kick ass.

  9. The 80s is where all music except metal went to die. It came back in the 90s and then died again. The 80s was the worst time for every classic rock band. Most bands completely changed their styles to keep with the popular stuff which all sucked.

  10. yea but that's just how it works. money fuels music nowadays. 90s was a good decade of music. hip hop really shined during this time, then it died in the 00s

  11. Youre completly right about the music industry just being a giant money pit these days. I actually think a lot of the underground rappers today are better than their 90s counterparts. They just get no support because people listen to the music they are fed by mass media. Theres also great rock out there but its the same deal. Hopefully good music comes back to the forefront. Everything works in cycles.
