What is your favorite guitar solo ever written? Can be by any body. It's very hard to name a favorite, but as of know, it's Dimebag's lead in "The Sleep". The way that lead plays over the rhythm section is orgasmic, hahaha. What's yours GC?
[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFXvfBL4WkU]John Petrucci - Glasgow Kiss - YouTube[/ame] 3:30 on, but starting at ~3:57 not a huge fan of JP and dream theater but the solo in this is straight up lyrical. Aso [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0KNR7texT8]Steve Vai - "Die To Live" - YouTube[/ame] ~2.00 Once again, not a huge vai guy, but that first bridge solo is super musical. Floods is another one of my favorites. The emotion in that solo is amazing, and easily one of Dimebag's best. I love Damage Inc too, But the only Kirk Hammett solo I've ever freaked out about was his lead on Ride The Lightning, and Blackened. Haha, those kick some ass.
