That's a tough one, but if I had to say favorite song, it'd be lynard skynard-free bird..never even heard that song high and its the best god damn song I've ever heard..If I had to say a band, The Dear Hunter, check them out, they're amazing.
I just checked them out song-red hand I just tripped beyond belief because of a piano and keyboard part fuckin' sick. Not usually my style but oh well

Queens of the Stone Age, I really like how there is really no fixed line up in this band so the sound is constantly changing from album to album, depending who played on it. Besides Josh is a killer guitarist and vocalist. Nirvana, This is a band i've always really liked, Kurts music for sure got me through some tough times. I'd have to say my favorite stuff from Nirvana is their earlier work, and their live albums are amazing. Pink Floyd, Had to throw these guys on the list for sure, trippy jams that can't be beat, amazing lyrics and concept albums, whats not to love? This band has so much different tunes, from their early days with Syd, through the Waters led era, and onto the Gilmour years, amazing music all the way through.
Mastertokes I really dig your taste in music I think we're pretty much on the same page. I'm ready for the re-release of the QOTSA debut. I have it from a torrent(I know ripping off the artist, sorry its hard as hell to find haha)but i'm going to buy it right when it comes out just so I have a hard copy and whatever bonus stuff is on there

Rush is one of my favorites for sure. Every member is just outrageously talented. Alex Lifeson plays a mean six string and Neal Peart astounds me every time I listen to one of his drum parts.
