Fate vs. Coincidence

Discussion in 'Philosophy' started by Road RunneR, Oct 19, 2010.

  1. Do you believe things happen for a reason, or are some of life's events merely coincidence?

If you believe things happen for a reason, is that considered religious?

  2. I believe that ultimately there's a path set out for each one of us and the difference is how we follow our path... and what we believe about the path we're following ...

if you have faith that no matter what you're doing whats meant to be and for that you believe everythings happenning for a reason I can fully understand that

but yes some could say its religious because its called having FAITH .

I believe everything happens for a reason because everything that happens has a purpose........

  3. this is honestly somthing iv been stuggleing with

its hard to think of a middle ground... which is where the true truths of all problems can usally be found

if its all by chance , then not a thing can matter AT ALL for if one thing matters so must others to in contrast to the degree of the standed set

so then that leads to school of thought 2 , that ALL things matters and everything around us has a purpose and a reasoning behind it

but this is hard to come to terms with especially for any kind of truth seeker because we lack the proof of a super natural plus its hard to think that everything even the direction of floating dust has any purpose so you must think some things must just 'happen' but then how can only some things matter when some do not?

this is the cycle iv been going through , anyone have any insight?

  4. Coincidence. No contest.

  5. Denying fate is denying your own existence.. in our world and the spirit world.

  6. I think stuff happens for a reason. I don't consider that a religious thing, I think of it as a spiritual thing.

  7. And anyone considering this word a specific "religious thing" is simply making a desperate attempt at subjecting their negativity, ignorance, and their inability to be able to create or accept concept within' the physical plane, to the world.

  8. i believe things happen for a reason, this is with my eyes and ears, reading and listening, watching a movie i produce play out like a game. i trying, once i get over, and die, i know my drama is over, times is hard, everyday i pray to you, love, amagaden and depression has began, excuse my discretion, im god precious son

get our mind off the grime
    give me rope ima climb

i hope you hear everything im saying to you, gods son
