if you really looked at what the FBI has done, especially under J Edgar Hoover, you'll see that shit is REALLY fucked up. It can be easily said that Hoover was the most powerful man in America throughout the sixties and whatnot, just because he used his agency to get dirt on pretty much all members of the federal gov, and would use that to shift politics to his desire.
