Fanleaves

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Flannigan, Jan 22, 2024.

  1. Should I remove some of these leaves? I'm 15 days into stretch and there's a lot of smaller buds stacking. I usually remove and I have twice but I'm afraid because I took too much last time.

I have a journal but I seem to get better help sometimes here. Thanks everyone and check out my journal if you want.

That's a bitch they are screen shots and only 1 would load. But it all pretty much looks this way however I boobooed lol and let em get thirsty

those are your solar panels friend,, but i have also seen some trimed with no problem, dont take too much especially if you can train them to open up for better light penetration instead. The leaves are solar panels to create photosynthesis.. and they store nutrients and sugars your plant needs or may need at certain times..

Edit: im usually not a fan of trimming or hurting the plant in anyway besides topping or FIM.. rather to do some LST.
    Hope this helps.

  4. I defoliate more and more aggressively now. Constantly exposing areas that I want more light to get to. Seems to help more than it hurts to do so. Just my 2 centavos. Having a lot of "solar panels" that are in the shade will not do much and light penetration into the canopy doesn't really exist if leaves are blocking the light. In short, I think defoliation hurts the gardener more than the garden.
