Going to be starting a freezer grow soon, and had a few questions about what fans to use... First:Wanting to know what size fan to keep a 600 watt HPS in a cool tube ummmm cool. The light will be getting fresh air and exhaust out of either side, not from or into the freezer itself. Second:What size fan, working through a carbon filter(2 feet in lenght x 6" diameter tapered to a 4" duct),should I use to help control temps/fresh air(working with a thermostat) Set up will include: Freezer is 31.1 cubic feet 2x5gal DWC 600/400 watt NextGen MH/HPS with Cool tube(400w for any blooming needs/600w for flowering) FANS ? Modeled somewhat after Rumple's grow,so all the extra fixings to the grow space are not listed above, but if any of it pertains to my question,I will answer accordingly Any help will be appreciated Also, does Rumple have a link to his grow room build....
I'm pretty sure some one will tell you that a 600w light is too powerful for a space that small. I would look a a fluorescent T5 light for a small Sea Of Green grow.
I agree with Reverend Bud. 600w seems like a lot of lamp for a freezer. A 6" inline fan would work pretty good with that size tube and filter.
Good thing i have the option of using a 400w then.I was thinking i should i be looking for a 250cfm or so fan, would that be sufficient?
