If you want to go above and beyond clean the outside of the jar with alcohol after putting the weed inside to throw off dogs (extremely unlikely) and then toss it in the trunk. As the previous person said, a mason jar is the way to go. Just throw your herbs in the jar, and put it in your bag or suitcase. Even if you get pulls over, there's no reason for them to search your shit. Besides, unless they have a reason to suspect something, then they can't search you, your car or your shit. But just in case, put your weed in the jar in your suitcase in the trunk of your car. They need a warrant to search the trunk

 

That fully depends on how much you carrying? If you carry kilos in the trunk, you is gone my friend. But if you have like an 8th in a med container in your pocket as you are a passenger in the back seat, aint no big thang.

No matter how you seal it, the smell will leach through eventually becoming detectable by a drug interdiction k-9, their noses are that good.
 
The key is to pack your buds LAST, and in multiple layers(glass containers, bags, etc.), washing your hands a few times in the process to keep the smell from being transferred to the outside of the bag or container. It takes a while for the smell to seep through the wrapping, so if you do it last thing you should be ok for a few days, then put it deep in the trunk somewhere.
 
 
Or if you are lazy, keep it in a cooler with some food products, that could possibly fool the trainer even if the dog was indicating on the pot.

Hey man I literally just did this 2 weeks ago driving with the family 20 hours to Virginia Beach. I brought about an eighth as well. All I did is throw my bud in a pill bottle, and but the bottle in my bathroom compliments bag, inside my suitcase.

It won't smell through the suit case, guaranteed. However, if your weeds smelly like mine was, be careful where you open your suitcase.

Smoking on the ocean is amazing, well worth it!

Put your nug in a bag. Put that bag into another bag with coffee beans and put that into a mason jar. Or just fill a mason jar with coffee beans and put your bag of nug into the jar

For an 8th of weed? Lol. If they called out dogs and cuffed you for an 8th of weed, I would never move out of the state of California and pray i stay away from Florida!

In many more conservative states they will throw your ass in jail for possessing an eighth... don't go anywhere like Indiana, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, etc. without concealing well and preferably in the trunk.
 
If you are with your family then you are golden unless your parents look shady

pack the weed and rolling papers(don't risk glass) in a plastic bag or 2 then put that in an airtight jar or small pill bottle then inside of a pair of socks in ur luggage, unless they suspect u might try ur parers won't search u, when u get to point b just find a time to escape from them to the hotel room and roll a joint then leave the room late at night and smoke

 

Why not airseal them then put them in a jar then in the trunk buy a cheap food sealer
