Up until very recently, the last episode of the current season, Season 7, was meant to be Something Something Darkside, the next Star Wars spoof. Now the last episode is titled "420" and it's plot line is "After Brian is arrested for drug possession, he launches a campaign to legalize marijuana. Seth McFarlane has frequently included marijuana in his shows and they are never in much of a negative light. I am hoping that he is as pro pot as I think he is, and will use the huge fan base of Family Guy to spread a legalization message. No matter what...the pot snowball just keeps getting bigger and bigger!

I have a feeling they may show some negative light on potheads. Hope I'm wrong though and as a HUGE fan of Family Guy, I can't wait for this episode.

As much as I love family guy, I am going to be vastly disappointed if it portrays stoners as 'lazy' or 'stupid' or furthers any stoner stereotyping, or greatly over-states the effects of marijuana.
He'll probably make it sarcastic (like pretend to be anti-pot, similar to Colbert pretending to be ultra-conservative). For example, the whole town starts smoking "too much" pot and everyone gets the munchies and eats out the towns food supply... something random and exaggerated like that. But everyone will get the point.

There has been a lot of talk of legalization recently, and I hope it is leading somewhere. In reality it doesn't matter, but it certainly helps.
Of course McFarlane is pro pot, did you see the 100th episode special? I think he was blazed during that one I think Matt Groening, Seth McFarlane and the rest of them are all potheads like us
Yeah, there's an episode where they're in Amsterdam, sitting in a Coffee House and they get a contact high. I think it's 'Road To Europe' it's called - I'm sure it's the first 'Road To...' episode, anyway.
I was really hoping South Park would make an episode about this issue, and especially in Colorado where weed has been decriminalized. Towlie is a great stoner character too, and he would be great in episode about that. South Park is way better then Family guy. Hopefully this isn't more of Family guy's foolishness, and I hope it does not say untrue things about it. I just hope the whole episode isn't just some big stoner sterotype that would suck. By the way South Park needs to bring mr. hankey, and towlie in a new episode.
