hey whats up just gotta quick qeustion. say i breed blueberry and skunk #1,the f1 generation seeds will have the genetics frome the cross, but if i inbred the cross from the seeds would the next batch of seeds be weaker then the previous?
yes i agree with godfly about the new traits, but the f2 generation will lack some of the vigor of the f1's, but they will by all means not be weak. some of the plants will be better than others. you can also backcross to a parent plant(or other stable strain) to revive some vigor or strenghten a spacific trait. it will take a lot of selective breeding to produce a stable stock, but if you have the time, patience, and attention to detail it will be your own personal strain ajusted to your preferences. good luck, and post some reports because i love to see the evolution of genes produce something better than the start.
