  1. i'm looking foward to ordering one of these kits (http://www.ezhydrokit.com/)

i plan on ordering the 4 plant kit with the 125watt saturn bulb (of course i'll still use my hps along with it)

has anyone ordered these bubler kits?
i know i could make one myself, but for the price of all the supplies and nutrients, i figured going with the kit could actually be cheaper.

this system supposedly can support 4 full grown plants, however, i was wondering if anyone has tried growing 4 marijuana plants out of one bucket.
i was also wondering if having too much canopy coverage could hurt my yield or if the plants will adapt to the close proximty between themselves.

any and all input here would be apprciated.

  2. which one you wanting to buy?????
yes ive got 4 plants in a 65l container/bubbler no probs so far.....
    laters.

btw may i see pictures of whot you're doing? i would like to know whot to expect.

/edit i just saw your grow journal, nice going on that!
so you did have four plants growing out of 1 5 gallon bucket?
you had no problems making sure the plants got enough light?
did you grow mostly indica or sativa?

the kit im ordering comes with one of those big compact flouros,,, i was also wondering how good that would do alongside a 70 watt HPS.

one more thing, this kit comes with enought nutrients for a complete grow...
i've heard of people using 'canna' ferts... i was wondering where i could order this discreetly.

  4. doesnt say what they are growing but this gives me an idea...lol.

    Yield: 65g +
    Harvest Time: 8 - 12 weeks

cant work out why there isnt a hps light with it though????

hey grumpy that looks ok.......i would use that light in there for early veg then put a hps in there....i would use that bat wing with the hps too.....i wouldnt put anything less than a 400w for 4 plants in hydro and would reckomend a 600w.....

only thing i dont like is the size of the 5 gallon active drip system.....i think its a bit small for 4 plants......in my grow journal i had 2 plants in a 20l bubbler that was fine but 4 is abit too much......

    and wtf.... quote.

I stuck this sytem in my closet and pulled over two ounces of gorgeous tomatoes off it in 3 months! EzHydroKit ROCKS!" - L.P., Chicago

fuck i would want more bud than that if i stuck it in my closet for three months....lol.....i would want a couple of Ks of toms if i was growing them......lol

canna ferts can be bought at alot of hydro stores.....look at yellow and white pages on your pc for hydro shops and some might have a canna sign next to them(they do here)....failing that take a few numbers and give the shops a call see if you can find it that way....i get my hydro shop to courrier my stuff to me as i live 500ks away from them.....

  5. after flipping through several pages of people grow journals, i've figured out whot i'm going to do for my next grow.

i was gonna order the hyrdro kit for 149$ when i get my tax return..
however, i saw where people are doing these scrog grows, and turning out with great results.
reason i like these scrog grows is because it trains the plant to grow on one level playing field. meaning, the grow height is reduced greatly. currently im using a shower stall as a grow chamber, i've figured out i'm goign to make it bi-level,,, one grow on the top 4 feet, another grow on the bottom 4 feet...

so whot i need to do now is order 2 400 watt HPS lamps with reflectors, and build a shelf system.

i thot about using the scrog method with the bubler setup, but i thought long and hard about it, i'd have too much duties jsut to change the res when needed. so i'm going soil, and im ordering indica 'magic bud' and 'indica maple bud'

i was thinking 3 plants per level. with 1 foot from the wire to the light. 2 foot for the bucket, and 1 foot between the bucket and the screen.

with a total of 8 foot in height i should be able to pull this off. :)

  6. i would just make my own hydro tank and if the scrog wasnt possible i wouldnt worry............i ditched my screen for a scrog coz it was to hard to change the res but i dont think its going to hurt my yield too much.......i find hydro lots better for growing inside so i would ditch the soil grow and go with out the scrog.....thats what i would do what you do is upto you.... :smoking:

    laters

  7. so i can get a higher yield if i went hydro with one or two plants rather than growing a soil scrog with 5-6 plants? everyone keeps saying grow hydro, but, soil has been good to me, i'm just curious as to how hard it is to keep track of ph, salt, whotnot, i do have a full time job and a wife to deal with if you catch my drift. time to fart around is minimal.

is it really worth it? i still hgavent made up my mind completely, i'm weighing my options.
im looking to spend about 300$ on supplies when i get my tax return. so basically i'm looking for my best possible option for grows to come..

what would the pros do? grow hydro?

  8. i think you would get more yield with 6 plants in a scrog than 2 plants in hydro but turnaround will be faster.......ive just started growing in hydro but im convinced its the best way to grow inside...ive got a wife and child(my girl is 1 1/2)so i dont have too much time to spend with my plants....lol...

this is how i made my container http://forum.grasscity.com/showthread.php?t=51093 ..... i can leave that for a week and do nothing with it with 4 plants in it.....yes you do need a ph pen a ppm meter is very handy then all you needis just your normal stuff........youve seen my grow journal so that will give an idea of what to expect.....dont use the 20l buckets though go for a big container less maintence.....

heres whats growing in mine at the moment..

  9. indeed, i had already started on one that same size! but i didnt know how good they worked.,.. i already have the container, the pots,, all i need is the grow rocks, a pump and tubes, nutrients, and a ph kit (for now)...
    do i need 'grow' rocks?
    can i use normal nutrients?

btw man if i could get your msn or a yahoo chat with ya, your knowledge would be appreciated in soo many ways... holler at me if you can, i can learn more with a conversation or two than getting lost in these forums

  10. sorry...look now.
