  1. Hey everyone! I just recently built a clone machine after viewing rumpleforeskin's " Lets Build a Clone Machine *Step by Step* " thread.
well, after going to home depot and my local hardware store numerous times, not having any luck finding a mister/sprayer that works with a 400gph pump, I did some searching online. This is what I found. The so called ez cloner brand sprayers are not ez clone at all. They are produced by a company called "DIG irrigation" If you buy them from a hydro store or horticulture website that sells ez cloner they want 59 cents a piece. But, on the link below they cost only 14 cents. 50 for seven bucks! Hope this helps.

  2. This is great information. Thank you sir.

  3. surprised to see that they only pump a half gallon per hour.

  4. Well like I said, I got a few different types of sprayer from HD. Both of which didn't work due to the fact that they require high pressure (50 psi) which my 400GPH pump cannot do. So after up grading the pump a few times with no success I decided to make the trip down to the city get the EZ Clone misters. Then I found these bad boys online.

  5. Also, Thank you Rump for the great clone machine! I love this thing. I'll post some pics.

  6. I can't let this bit of information get lost in the millions of posts here at GC. I need this to be part of my clone machine build. Too good for me to let go.

  7. now just find neoprene inserts of .14 and you will be more than a hero to me...

    AWESOME FIND!

  8. michaels arts and crafts sells neoprene for very cheap. They are squares but you can cut them into circles.

  9. Do you happen to have a price on them? I am about ready to by a 35 pack for $15.75 of EZ-Clone 2" inserts.

  10. but u never said that :) good info to know.

  11. Ah, So I did not. Well, there you go.
Also, Those neoprene inserts are damn expensive. I instead went to HD and picked up a 2' x3' piece of 1/2" styrofoam insulation with a layer of film on each side. It works great, I used the same 2" hole saw that I used for the holes in the lid, to press out some "plugs" that fit the baskets. I think the whole sheet, which should make about 100 or more plugs was only $2.97. Beats the hell out of the neoprene by a ton.

ive been doing some hunting around now that i know it takes so much pressure to run the tips i just now bought from lowes. and i found these....

Micro Spray 1-Piece Full Circle (360) Blue 0.040" Orifice Irrigation Direct

they cost 15 cents a piece. then 10 cents if u buy 100+.

    Product Details
    Full Circle (360) spray pattern
Diameter: 7-11 feet (at 10-20 PSI)
    Blue output: 7-11 GPH.
    One-piece micro spray
Easy Grip ridge for easy installation
    Orifice: .040"
    No Tools required
Threaded base (10-32). Install on our stakes and risers:

thats way more water hitting your plants than the ez clone. and it needs less pressure to run. ez clone needs a minimum 15 pounds according to dig site.

anyone have negative thoughts on these before i try them out? seems like these would create less back pressure on ur pump also

also.... neoprene inserts. i get em cheap at hydroempire.com. 3" inserts run me 70 cents a peice. 2" are 50 cents. and if u spend 200 bucks u get free shipping. the 200 bucks gets you to surf their site and get the things u need but never buy. like a scope and really nice scissors etc.

let us know how the styrofoam works. $3 versus $70 is a win in my book. but will they hold up the plant when it starts getting top heavy

  13. The only thing that might kill this for me is the shipping...$11.00 = ouch

  14. the 2010 price of these things in the grow shops is a buck a piece. at least the one thats near me and several others on the web. so if u just buy a dozen, it kinda pays for itself

  15. Just received my order today of 50, thanks for the money save man!!

  16. so u use these sprayers? for making clones or can they be used for aerponic ?/hydro growing?

  17. Awesome thanks +rep !

  18. I know you posted a long time ago, but yes they can be used for aeroponics as well. I have a clone machine that I turned into an aeroponics chamber when its time for flowering, basically just thin out the clones and switch the nutrients/lighting.
