Ok , Update: Due to my garden shape and growth, I let the tie downs go on this plant. It will go to flower in 3 days. Here are some pics of the plant fully recovered , and ready for flowering after 3 months of Low stress training and pruning. I count at least 40 tops on this plant, with many more in the undergrowth. TOP SHOT SIDE SHOT
Agreed! And your pix are TOO godamn big man! fuck! They won't even fit on my screen so I can barely tell what the fuck is goin on...
I'm guessing he's posting on a cellphone. The pics are perfect on my Droid. Those plants look really rough. Is it the strain or is that extreme stress making the leaves look like pine needles?
I lowered my camera settings to the second lowest setting for size and resolution . Anyone who cant see my last two pics needs to upgrade monitors from there 14 inch 1995 classic edition. I think whats happening with that PC plant is water stress, it drinks water so fast because of two plants sharing the same area, and being in the same pot so long, im afraid to even see how root bound it it. Though the skinny curling leaves do seem to fix themselves as they grow out more. Im not to concerned , as none of the other plants in the room show the same signs.
Just keep in mind guys that each time you top, you are essentially "dividing" Top once and instead of 1 XL cola, you get 2 L colas. Top again and you get 4 medium colas,....etc Top too much and you get a very full plant but it's full of tiny buds Russ, not advised to leave any metals in soil for too long (clothes hanger spikes, those nuts, etc) in time, they can leech into the soil and taint the mineral levels Cool experiment, can't wait to see her bud up
As I posted earlier, this little app is really useful to quickly resize pics if you're on windows. I suggest it to everybody. I have Photoshop as well, but this is faster to resize.
This is where the root systems of the 2 plants in the same pot, start to strangle each other The plants may have begun sending out the invading plant hormones too. Is there a reason you put 2 in one pot Russ? (my name too )
Yes, it started out as a Stealth PC grow, so when 2 plants went into 1 pot , the thought was they would go to flower after like 2 weeks. Well, I got lazy and didn't flower them right away, then I upgraded to a 400 watt set up instead of a stealth PC. SO they continued to veg .. Flowering now, But yeah, I wouldn't ever put 2 plants in 1 pot again .
Well here's what it looks like 10 days into flowering. As you can see it has a few tops ! Here's a side shot ! Ill update in a few weeks. I hope this is a good example of what some LST/Super cropping can do for you as far as multiple tops on a plant.
Little update : Day 26 of flowering , Ive trimmed it down to the tops i want, ended up with 20 or 21, hard to count. This plant is truly been stressed to the max for its whole life, I can tell its horribly root bound , and there's no doubt the 2 plants are competing , but they are still flowering nicely. Here's a top shot and a close up of a smaller side nug.
An End to this thread has arrived. Pre Harvest ::: After Harvest :: Base Shot :: And the Bounty :: 110 Grams Wet or so . I'll update a dry weight later on for anyone who ever reads this or is interested !
1/2 oz per plant, not bad, but next time , separate them. Each of those could have easily given you 1-3 zips each.
Good job, Russy, but I agree with LBH. A separate pot for each of those would have done wonders. You should pull out the base and take a pic of the root ball for us... On a side note, you LST like I do, way to be.
Im not a noob guys, I NEVER grow 2 plants in one pot, This was an experiment gone bad !! The clones from that experiment are single cola plants that are probably going to net me between 1-2 oz's each. I already destroyed the root mass , I wish i would have taken a picture, It was very impressive. In fact , I have never seen such a root mass in my life. No pics, I just buried it in the ground , so its gone forever now ! Anyways, thanks for checking in, and don't worry, This was the first and last time I ever grow multiple plants in one container ! ~Russy
