Extracting flavor from REAL fruit.

Discussion in 'E-Liquids & E-Juice, E-Cigarettes' started by Werre1985, Aug 28, 2017.

  1. Has anyone tried/heard of extraction of flavor from a real fruit? I mean literally getting some fruit that is juicy like an orange or strawberry and juicing it/squeezing it and using that in e-juice? Do you think it would be safe/work?

  2. No do not inhale that.

  3. Also going to add that juice would be water based and is not going to vape.

    In a word.... NO !!
Fruit juices are mostly Water and will spit like crazy and the hot steam is likely to scald the roof of your mouth not figuring the toxins you'll create with the high natural sugar content of most fruits and berries.
With a couple dozen flavor companies to pick from it's not worth the effort to distill your own nor is it cost effective.
Some exceptions are rare tobacco leaf can be extracted with very high proof alcohol and time to make a flavoring but it's a fair bit of work when for 3 bucks you can buy 99% of any flavoring you can dream up.

PG (propylene Glycol) VG (vegetable glycerin) and food grade flavors is what all vape juice is. Cost about 30 cents for 30ml to make juice not the 15 to 30 bucks a vape shop gets.
Put a little hash tincture in the blend and I'm good to go.

  5. It also would not be able to be stored for very long at all. Imagine pouring a glass of organic apple juice and coming back to drink it three or four days later.

  6. Bad idea Bro...

  7. You want the apple terpenes. I'm sure someone has done it. I know there used to be a company that had different terpene profiles here they mixed themselvs and were able to make just about every kind of flavor. Was called like elephant or something.

You can buy terpenes online, but usually are terpene profiles of weed strains. The only reason I could think of to use those is if I wanted my weed to smell more ...weedier or something maybe to sell it ? There are a ton of artificial flavors out there that are horrible and I've never been able to find the elephant stuff since back then. Duno what happened to them.

  8. Better get advice from some professional, but why man you want to try ?

  9. In order to create specific flavors using terpenes, you need a chemical lab. The process is not easy as you have to mix extremely specific amounts of different terpenes together to create that flavor.
