I keep researching this on the internet and i cant seem to find a reason why they do this. My brother said they're just filling out around the bottom. So far I'm very happy with my plants and how they're doing considering this is my first grow. I started with six and now i have three. I had a few runty plants that wouldn't grow so i cut them out. ALSO! is it able to tell sex this early? they aren't even a month old yet though. just figured id ask. Hope the photos help
They look good to me. Don't worry about "extra" leaves... just let it grow. As for the sex, yes, too early to tell yet. Some people take a clipping then force it to bud in a separate space to show the sex. It doesn't even need roots.
the extra leaves are branches you want them to grow too. Sex.... not for a while after you flip the light cycle.
