Exspensive weed overrated?

I agree with ya, GOOD weed is more expensive and only gets me personally, a little bit higher. I would say that GOOD weed is a different experience while being high, than some regs

 

Yeah, I feel the same way, I just started smoking daily for my insomnia, and it's pissing me off because I got some really good dank that doesn't make me tired at all

 

All my connects are dank. I couldn't find shitty schwag if I even wanted to. Sounds like a personal preference and low tolarance. Enjoy it while you can!

 

I've kinda been wondering this too. Where I'm at, I can get decent stuff for $60/8th...or I can get an ounce of mids (it's actually pretty good mids) for $60.

I've heard that mids have about 1/4 as much THC as beasters/fire, yet they cost about 8x as much...so IDK.

I just hate spending $60 on something that lasts me 2 weeks when I can spend the same amount and be able to smoke like 4x as often and have it STILL last me a month.

Anyway, no, expensive weed isn't over-rated. People who are against shelling out 15 dollars or more a gram, or people who sell shit weed would like to lead you into believing there is no difference, but there certainly is.

By simple logic I will reveal why:

Once a plant has been pollinated it produces considerablly less THC, so by simple virtue of the shite weed you guys buy having seeds in it, it's already completely left the ballpark of any cannabis sensimillia(sp?)(No seeds)
Also, it is undisputed fact that almost 80% of the middies, or reggie, or schwag, or whatever the fuck kids are calling it these days, are grown by Mexicans. Hence, "Mexican Brick Weed." It is also UNDISPUTED FACT that the drug cartels that grow this shit, are known to use pesticides, insecticides, and ferts that are not FDA approved, or are otherwise completely fucking illegal in the United States. You buy 28 grams, 3 are just from seeds, 4 are from bullshit fanleafs and follier, or whatever the fuck else thew threw in that were pressed and dried with it, and then the rest is shitty weed that is full of toxins and all kinds of bullshit that would make me want to smoke a pack of cigerattes before even touching a joint of that shit.

You know most of this "expensive weed is overrated" bullshit stems from the simple fact that most people who spend 100 dollars - 120 dollars for an ounce of complete, BULLSHIT, smoke cigarillos and wraps, and fucking tater-sized blunts of the shit. Because as mentioned earler, it has lower amounts of THC, and therefore you have to smoke more and more to get good. So these styles of potheads are so use to smoking blunts, they literally cannot get their head around the idea of being high off 1 bowl. And they are incapable of being satisfied as a result.

And just to end with explaining a phenomena to the original poster who stated: "I can get mersh for like 25 an 8th and it gets me insanely high I mean its a great mind blowing high" Its not the weed thats doing that, brah. Yes and no it depends on your smoking method and if you can tell the diff in highs. When I was younger and in my first couple of years smoking was smoking swag or dank, I smoked blunts and bongs. Taste didnt matter to me and I couldnt tell the diff in the high, sure some where better the other but overall the same. I think it really matters if your a connoisseur or not. For example a $10 bottle of wine taste simlar to me as a $75 bottle. Yet my wife can tell you in great detail why the taste is better in the expensive bottle. She can look and take sip of wine and tell you if its good bottle or not.
So If the high doesnt matter and the taste doesnt matter then by all means buy shit weed and smoke it in 3 gram blunts. Eventually as years pass you will notice a taste and diff in highs. Such as orginal blueberry is my fav strain bc of taste and a euphoric high, I ll smoke it buy the bushell. Yet some weed like great white shark just doesnt do it for me. Its good bud and all just not my prefence.

Also genetics does make weed better but at the end of the day it is all about how it is grown. Those strains maybe grown by a commercial grower that grows it but it wont be the same as the purpose who grows it strictly for personal use. I have even known grows who grow some great strains for profit and then have another grow for personal. They always take better care of there personal grows. Maybe you never had great grown weed.
If its to expensvie, grow your own brotha.

 

Once your tolerance goes up then I think it is different. Dank is better for that. I also love the taste and ease of dank smoke.

But, I do always buy both to smoke.

I barely get high of anything less then dank.. of coarse the amount matters but dank is the only way to go.

I would rather have dank but due to my current situation I'm not allowed to get a job for a while so I'm left buying mersh...so in order to conserve money buying dank is out of the question. I mean I agree with you but only because I can only get an 8th for around 20 bucks. Its pretty good bud though 1 joint hits me and 2 joints are good enough for 3 people

 

It depends on what I feel like.
If I feel like blazing and going out and doing something, I'll always pick the dank. But if I'm gonna be at my house or a friends house all night smoking blunts and taking bong rips, I'll pick the lower quality bud, around $35/8th of high mids/beasters, never shwagg though.
I don't think dank is overrated, but maybe just lower quality weed(mids/beasters) is UNDERRATED, cause many people fail to realize it is still weed, and it still gets you faded, it just takes more.

 

I pay 60 for dank so w/e mids are 50 here and china is 500 a qp. I have yet to try medical canabis, but Its probably better than 90% of the stuff you get on the street.

 

Dollar for dollar, mids get you higher than dank.

 

Medical bud is nothing special. If you know a dealer who sells dank, you are getting the same quality as the medical marijuana.

 

welll... yes and no. it's always nice to just buy a shit load of HIGH mids because it's a different type of high (to me atleast) tho it does take more to achieve a similar stonedness to smoking dank.. but DAMN, when i smoke dank i get fucked up. I have Lemon Skunk as we speak and this morning was my first time trying it ( Wake n Bake ) and after the very first hit, i got the body high it was so niice i took 2 more hits and i was stonnnnnnned so idk it does have it's ups and downs but i think if u buy high mids all the time as appose to buying dank all the time, you're going to save a lot of money if u go with the high mids especailyl as the price u are paying... BTW i pay like 55-65 an eigth of dank

No. Has a reliable source (if even one) proven that someone smoking cannabis grown with pesticides get you higher than organic cannabis? No! You are spreading false information. Yes, large commercial grows often contain pesticides. So does all the food you eat every single day. If smoking weed grown with pesticides is bad for you, well, really, who gives a fuck. Because you're already so fucked over from the food you've been eating and the drinks you've been drinking and the air you've been breathing for your entire life.

Pretty much no operation outside of a large commercial one is using significant amounts (if any) of harmful pesticides.
