Experimental Grow for Fun

  1. Today was a little odd. I had to do some emergency care to the bottom girl. But I used the op to clean house a little bit. I noticed she was looking a little droopy and he leaves showed signed of maybe a deficiency. Took water stats. And found the ph had dropped from 5.9 to 5.2. Thats def not where I want her in the flower. The other two girls were holding strong at 6.0. I tend to let them flux between? 5.8 and 6.5 in flower. I'm not sure why the sudden dip of just the one. I did notice this after moving one of the LED lights to her area. Could the light placement have shifted the ph in the water??? So odd. But that's why this is and experiment!
I decided to refresh all the girls and did a combine of all the water, top off, ph adjustment to 5.8 and redistribute. That will bring all 3 girls to the same ppm and ph. Speaking of ppm, I've been swinging around 1100. I'm wondering if I should try stronger nutes??? I've read a lot of differences of opinion on the subject but my goal is to max nut use without causing nutrient burn of deficiencies. Some go up to 2000 ppm which scares me. Anyone have experience from a ppm point of view?

  2. Not sure what's up with bottom girl. Here buds are turing a little orange way a head of schedule. I may have to flush her and see what happens. The girls on top are doing awesome. I'm not convinced it's the setup just yet. The bottom was always the sketchiest plant. She was the smallest and had some off root growth.

  3. It's been a while but finally back for a quick update. Kinda bummed but it was really my fault. So I was saying the bottom girl wasn't looking good but couldn't figure it out. Started noticing some problems with the big girls too. I found that my ph was off because my meter lost calibration and was off by almost a whole point. So while I was trying to maintain 5.8-6.4 I was actually in 4.8-5.4 range. Ouch! In the end I lost the bottom girl all together. She was already a little sickly so I'm not as surprised this level of stress did her in. The other two are a little shook but still good. Got some yellowing leaves throughout but nothing scary. This is the middle of week four. Here are the remaining girls.
