Exp. potheads ever buy a piece from GC??

Discussion in 'Experienced Cannabis Enthusiasts' started by chiefMOJOrisin, Nov 3, 2007.

  1. Any long-time potheads buy a piece from here?? From grasscity??

I was thinking about it. There are some decent pipes. However, it takes away the fun of getting a pipe at a festival, or going to your favorite head shop. Buying a piece is a very important decision that should not be taken lightly. Many aspects need to be taken into consideration.

Such as bowl head size, carb size, cleanability, clog potential, break potential, color change potential. Without physically holding the piece before buying it I'm afraind I will wind up with a phat piece that only fits .0001gs of nug with a pinhole for a rush that can never be totally cleaned without a boil.

I was wondering if anyone has bought a piece from GC...and if so, what was the experience like?? As a whole..... shipping, customer service, getting what you wanted....all the things I mentioned above.......

    Any feedback would be great.

  2. No, and I think you answered your own question. Unless you can't get to a head shop or find some festival to pick your own pipe.

  3. When you order a pipe from GC, or, I'm fairly sure, anywhere online, it will not look exactly as it does in the picture, certain colors may be diferent, the carb my be inverted or may stick out, the magnifiers could be in different places... So just keep in mind, your piece will be different.

If you want to shoot me a PM I can give you a couple other sites with very reasonably priced, pretty glass pieces.

  4. Nothing against GC, but I dont buy glass online...period.

I need to see it first hand, hold it, look it over, thats really the only way to go about it. Theres a lot of different aspects to a good quality pipe/tube, none of which you can really see via the internet.

Of course, im a collector...so these things matter.

  5. i bought one, and it wasn't the same colors as the pic, but still nice and intact.

  6. All that is true, but since I moved out of LA and into a shit hole village in maryland I had to resort to buying glass online. Plus I wanted a very specific piece that a tobacco shop with a small selection would never provide.
Also is it really that big a deal? What is the longest you've owned a pipe? My bongs last nearly forever, but you usually know exactly what you're getting with a bong online. Other than my 1st pipe most of the pipes break within months. Oddly enough, that 1st pipe i bought from GC and it survived multiple drops. So at least you know you're getting quality stuff.

  7. I was going to buy one of those Bob Marley bongs just cuz theyre so dope. But Yea I agree with everyone else, it should be done at a chill headshop where you can scope em all out & find which one suits you best.

  8. Yea I think internet headshops cant compare in the amount of selection compared to the local headshop no comparison with the two.

  9. support you local headshop and local artists. just buy from the shop in you area

  10. I'm going to go against the grain and say GC has more selection at better prizes. You should buy the bong online, but find it in real life. ;)

  11. My buddy bought a Molino Mad Scientist from the City and it had wayyyyyyy too much drag on it. That's the kind of thing you can't do anything about when ordering offline without actually seeing the piece in person.
