I'm building a custom grow cabinet (47.5" h x 23.5" w x 18.5" d) for 1 or 2 plants this weekend. The frame will be made out of 2x2s and the shell will be 1/2" sealed and white painted pine. The cracks (interior and exterior) will be caulked with white silicone and the inside will be lined with Reflectix R21 for insolation and a reflective surface for the ViparSpectra VT300 300watt LED light. The door will be airtight as it will have weather stripping all around and a pressure latch to ensure a good seal. There will be 4 casters in the bottom for easy mobility. A recessed power strip will be mounted inside towards the bottom of cabinet as I only want 1 cord visible from the exterior. The intake will be passive and located on the bottom of the cabinet. The idea is to make it odor proof but I'm stumped when it comes to the exhaust system. All of the carbon filters that I've seen are pretty big. Any ideas?
can you put another cabinet on top and put your filter in there? Cut a hike to run ducting from one space to another of course. If anyone makes a panel style carbon filter instead of a canister maybe you could Fabricate something, or adapt part of an air filter housing from a car and leave the bulk of it inside , blow through a screen on top
