So ive seen on videos somewhere, where they exhaust into a box then out of the room. Can anyone give me some insight as to what its for or what its called. I cant find any information online.
Thats not what im talking about. Its like if you have to exhaust a light at medium level and exhaust thru the filter at the top of the room you put both of those into the box then just one going out of the room. So you have 2 sucking in and one sucking out. But whats it called and is there abywhrre i can find info on it
I have thought about that but i figured id get more vaccuum pressure and better airflow if i did it into a box then out
Personally I think a box would have a lot of wind vortex and hence a lot of air drag, greatly reducing efficiency. A Y duct is meant to eliminate such wind vortex and also the surface finish inside the Y duct is very smooth, again more efficient. A y duct inside a box should be ideal. Maybe that box is an ozone/air mixer, often used with ozone generators.
How do you mean? You mean a box holding a fan so you can use a bathroom exhaust fan or some such for for ventilation? Not sure what you mean by "the filter at the top of the room," so I can't really help 'til I know what you want, ya know? If you're just trying to make a box to put a fan in, though, that thick, styrofoam-type poster board works very well, and is only a dollar a piece at the dollar store. With one piece and a $1 roll of duct tape, you can make a very effective light-weight, easily mountable vent box for a standard low-end bathroom exhaust fan. If that ain't at all what you're lookin' for, then sorry for wastin' your time.

I meant filter as in carbon filter at the top of the room ducting into the box then Have another duct from my light going into the box then having one with an inline fan pulling out of the box and out the closet.
Talk about over complicating something. Dude u don't even know what ur question is. I'd read a grow guide or something. This is really confusing and has no direction.
A carbon scrubber is a lot of resistance to suck air through, compared to that the ducting from the light much easier to pull through. Having a common inline fan to pull air through both is a bad idea(hopefully I understood your design correctly), almost 90% of the air will be pulled through the light ducting with hardly any air coming through the carbon filter. A better option is to place a fan between the carbon filter and the box and then the inline fan can be placed as before. A Y duct inside a box is ideal because the Y duct is made only for a design such as yours and the box will help you house the fan/ducts properly rather than have them hanging.
