So ive got 2 adjacent rooms in my basement one for flower and one for veg. The flower room is 14'x8' x 8'6" tall and the veg room is 12'x8' x 7'6" tall. I am running 2/ 8" passive intakes for intake and running 2/8" exhaust ducts for exhaust. I have a pretty straight metal round duct system with 2/90 degree elbows on each exhaust duct and then its a straight 12' up to the roof to exhaust the 2 exhaust ducts, one for the flower room and one for the veg & heat from the lights. My question is this,.... I want to take the 2 exhaust ducts another 20' to the other side of my roof so the roof vents will be further away from a neighbor, whos only 10' away? Im using 2/ 740cfm exhaust fans and a scrubber for the exhaust and i just wonder will this adversly affect the exhaust by virtue of the additional 20' runs, and additionally is odor a non-issue because of the scrubber? I mean does a scrubber eliminate 100% of the odor from the flower room exhaust? Oh, i should add that the additional 20' for each exhaust run would be in alumimun flex duct and needed a 45 degree elbow for each one. I thank you in advance for your help. Tony
You shouldn't run your carbon scrubber outside unless you want 2 big ass carbon filters coming out of your outside wall. You could keep them inside just prop them up on the wall at the level of your ducting Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum
Apologies..through the ceiling is fine. But you could run both filters in the flower room.. That's where the smell will be coming from. Just keep fans blowing outside intake into the flower room Sent from my iPad using Grasscity Forum
