  1. I currently have a 4 inch black orchid exhaust fan but thinking of upgrading to help reduce humidity in my tent.
The tent is 60x60x140 cm .
    Any suggestions welcome please.
I dont know how powerful/size of a fan will actually help? I also dont have a an inlet fan to draw air in , do you guys think I'd need one.
Thanks in advance guys and gals x

I'd go with a 6" fan with a speed controller.

You don't need an intake fan, you just need an opening (passive intake). The exhaust fan will create negative pressure in the tent and automatically suck fresh air in through the opening.

  4. I think that tent size is basically a 2'x2'. My Vortex 4" inline fan I use for my 2x2 drying tent is is about 220 cfm. Is the Black Orchid 150 cfm? If you bump up to a 6", that will give you a ton of wiggle room. That will be very strong in a 2x2. If you have the budget, a Variac controller would be a nice addition. I use two and they are my favorite pieces of grow equipment.

  5. I'm worried about pest with an opening. As the grow tent is in an old outbuilding

  6. If not too big of an area and not too windy, you could find tight netting for the opening.

  7. You can buy a cheap furnace air filter from the hardware store and tape it to the opening.

  8. Got some metal mesh for the opening. But might look into one of those filters too. Would you have the opening at the top or bottom of the tent

  9. Think I'm gunna upgrade my fan too

  10. The furnace filters are better at keeping the tiny bugs like spiders away.

You'd want it at the bottom. Fresh cool air coming in from the bottom and hot air exhausted out the top.

  11. I have a ram 6 inch fan on order . Found out my 4 inch fan was pulling 118 . New one over 500 so hopefully do the trick x
