every morning when i wake up, i hack up this big ball of phlegm. it's usually yellow. all throughout the day i find myself hacking up small amounts of mucus that i feel pulling down from my sinuses. it's not loose or runny by any means, it's just really excessive mucus. i can still breathe fine through my nose. i dont smoke that often at all. im quite sure it isnt mucus coming from my lungs. maybe it's allergies? but i feel like i've had this for a while and only recently it became yellow mucus and there's even more of it. for real, its even got to the point where it's satisfying to hack up that big ball of mucus in the morning. i apologize if this is disgusting. but i don't know what would be causing this or how i could fix it
i have the same problem...only started just recently...in the morning, my throat hurts until i hack this shit up...its nasty
Iv had the same thing awhile ago. I wasn't sick just every morning would hack up yellow mucus. The thing that was with me was allergies, I went and got pseudoephedrine and took it every 4 hours for 2 days and took ibuprofen for 1 week 2 every 4 hours. it cleared me right up, I also smoke everyday so it wasn't due to that because I'm fine now. If that doesn't help I'd suggest contacting your doctor and getting some antibiotics.
Sounds like you have a recurring sinus infection. You need to clear all of that shit out. Go to Walmart or whatever and buy yourself a neti pot and some sinus rinse packets. Rinse your sinuses twice a day religiously. You'll be amazed at all of the shit that stays up there Also, don't go to the doctor for antibiotics. It has long been known that antibiotics do absolutely nothing for sinus related issues Sinus infection? Antibiotics won't help - CNN.com
Don't know why the message above was deleted but anyways here you go. Brown phlegm is more associated with smoking. As you have stated that your mucus is yellow but thick, sure sign of a viral or bact. infection. Usually conditions associated with this type of infection include coughing, loss of smell, bad breath, headaches nasal congestion and so on.Though you haven't mention any of these symptoms of being some that you are experiencing therefore I can't really agree that it is an sinus infection myself. Thick mucus can come from a number of things including something simple as dairy products. I will be around.
