I have been told by many an ignoramus that drugs make the user evil and not fit for society. I decided to come up with a mantra. What you guys think? Critique and discuss. You wont hurt my feelings if you disagree.

    Here is my mantra:

Drugs do not make people evil. Nor are they evil themselves. Drugs are simply chemicals that can be easily ingested for a variety of desired effects. Effects that in my opinion are not reachable easily through body exertion or mental exertion. E.g Getting high through exercising or getting visions through meditation.

Drugs simply attract those whom are the dregs of society. They also attract the intelligent citizen looking for a good recreational time. For those whom are the dregs, drugs are cheap and easy ways to forget the pain of life and burn out to what society would call an evil person. Maybe so. That is not every drug user. There is a huge difference between the intelligent recreational user and the low-life with no option but to take the easy way out.

It is the difference between friends going out and having a good time at the bar.

And a depressed alcoholic drinking himself to death over tears and anger and bitter feelings.

Guns, Drugs, Porn, Violent media are all considered by quite a few as "evil-makers." In my opinion no evil stems from the item/media/substance in question. Instead it almost always stems from the mental condition of the person involved with such things.

  2. its not bad.

  3. Thanks. :) Changed it a little bit. Should flow better and be more comprehendable.

  4. I love drugs but lets be real drugs and violent crimes go together.

  5. name a drug. I have taken it. Never been in a situation that I ever got a danger vibe from while buying.

Guess I'm lucky to live in a hippy town.

I guess what I am saying is drug USERS are not necessarily evil because of the drug.

Dealers...are a whole nother story. I agree there.

  6. yes have u ever seen someones life change because of meth/coke? I've seen really nice peoples personality just go down the drain and them be just straight evil like just straight fucked up and their head is always gonna be that way.

True...I have unfortunately. I live in NC. Asheville is hippy oriented, but the surrounding counties have tons of meth use. My friend in CT also, pays for his mom and their house, because she is an addict.

I should update my mantra to make "smart use" be a more obvious point. By "smart use" I mean, not going over the slippery slope of crack, meth, coke, or opiates.

I mean, ... if you go into ANY drug as a recreational activity you should be smart about using it an be fully aware of ALL of its effects.

It's the idiots who abuse drugs, who ruin it for those who ARE responsible.

  8. Even people who dont abuse drugs and are prescribed it. I've seen my friend before and after he got prescribed adderall and let me tell u he has changed alot. He is agressive 24/7. He's broken all the doors in his house and has almost burned down his house but i stopped him.

  9. I dunno I guess everyone is not meant to take drugs. I was mainly talking about drugs that people are looked down upon for taking...and the fact that the intelligent and able users who are able to function normally in society get looked down upon.

Media and word of mouth and online communication make the negative stories way out proportion the positive ones. It should be the irresponsible and unable users of drugs who should be the target of concern.

"and the fact that the intelligent and able users who are able to function normally in society get looked down upon"
    - This is mainly what my mantra was meant to rebut.

  10. Fix'd

  11. word.

  12. Word for real.

Man, they are evil. I've been around the block, seen the horrors. Maybe you just havent reached that level yet, but if you really like the drugs, you will. It all comes down to individual personalities, you will see what I mean once you quit all your drug use, and are left friendless. Because everyone you associated with the past X years were because a shared addiction or use of drugs. (Don't HAVE to be addicted of course.) Personally, I cant fuck with anything except herb or else I get out of control over time. (From my experience: Fuck oxy, benzos, somas, most pharms are not good in my opinion; except for REAL medical use.) Went thru withdrawls on Oxy, FUCK THAT! is all i can say.

Drugs have not helped me except the psychadellics. The psychadellics have taught me so much, and my last acid trip taught me to quit all the others, including more 'dellics.

Stick to the herbal remedy my friend, she wont do you any harm. :D
