Everyone, especially those who live in the US should see this. Even if you don't it is good to know. Even if you have, couldn't hurt to refresh. How to Flex Your Rights During Police Encounters EDIT: note to mod, I didn't put this in the video section because originally, I was only posting a link to a website.
It's nice to read this kinda stuff, but it's all bullshit when you actually try to apply it (especially in the east coast) Me and my buddy were in a Wawa parking lot, I was rolling up, he was eating a sandwich. So a cop car cruises into the parking lot, and I quickly put that shit away and take out my sandwich and start eating. My friend starts the car, gets ready to pull the fuck out, right as the cop stops his car behind ours, basically trapping us. So he taps on the window, asking us what we're doing and if he can search the car..we say we would love to, but have to get going. He tells us to step out, we refuse. He opens the driver's door forcibly and pulls my friend out, and I get out and ask him what the fuck he's doing. As he has my buddy pinned down, he calls in two more squad cars and they tear the car apart, find 3 bags, the half rolled blunt and a small pipe. We get arrested, go to court, and it's our word against the officer's...think a judge going through 95 of these cases a day is gonna give two shits if your fourth amendment rights were violated? Exactly...
the sad part is that can easily happen ^^^ i try not to smoke outside my house now and since i grow my own now i dont even need to go drive to pick it up, i feel safer growing in my own home then driving to some guys house that always has traffic coming and going then driving hime with a half O in my car
Police in the US don't have rules or laws to abide by, it's all bull shit. This is a great example [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Doh_gGIzuHQ]POLICE BRUTALITY - Houston Police Beat Handcuffed 15 Year Old Boy - YouTube[/ame] This goes for ever state in America, it's not just the police, but the judges, government ect..

Oh I am well aware, and experienced in dealing with cops who wont follow the rules, the point here, is this stuff can, and I emphasize can, not will, but can save your ass in court. I think you can find their DVD on youtube, and I believe they give permission to use their material freely, so no copyright infringement. Ah, found them.... Kanaal van FlexYourRights - YouTube
hahaha no way man. We had two huge subs open, the only thing you could smell was chicken parm. and I don't even think smell is legitimate probable cause. I remember reading probable cause means the officer can make NO inferences or assumptions. So he can't smell, and decide it's a drug, he can't see a bulge and decide it's a weapon. Has to be obviously clear, like they SEE the blunt or they HEAR you saying "I have a weapon"

Example: Me and my buddy are blazing by a school park, we just finished a bowl, then the cops come around the corner. They immediately say they're going to search us because we "smell like marijuana". I swear if I got my pipe taken illegally by those pigs I'm going to be fucking pissed.
Watch the videos they will tell you all about it. Remember, never resist a cop physically. Also, it's true, "Moderate" smell of cannabis is not probable cause to search. State laws differ in their own laws, but these videos cover pretty much everything you need to know. EDIT: A lot of good info here too. Very informative! This video has a cop talking about the tricks they use to screw you. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wXkI4t7nuc[/ame]
