Ever heard of "The Black"

    So a friend sparks me up,and the bud smelled amazing and it had brown stuff on it and he said that it was called "The Black".How good is it,cuz i was blowwwwn lol :D

    Kief, perhaps? Kief is a brownish color, and you sprinkle that on weed if you want to get an extra kick. I've never heard anything in weed culture referred to as "The Black", certainly not kief, but it's possible it's a regional thing.

    He probably packed a bowl of dank and put some kief on the top, that's all. Feel lucky, sharing kief with someone is a compliment.

    Well .... I've heard smokable, tar heroin referred to as "black" before. In fact, it's the most common name for it around these parts -- when someone talks about "getting black," they're referring to heroin. :(

    I don't know anything about heroin, though, or if it's even possible to mix with weed like that ... shouldn't it have a different burning temperature? I don't know.

    I guess on that line...it could have been resin? It's really nasty, but I guess it is black/brown and would get you really high.

    Hmm.. "The Black" well my best guess is that it is kief because kief can get you ripped

    "the black" is a strain sent out by BCBUDDEPOT. it's a super strong indica 90% actually. and has some amazing looks. I just picked up a pack of 12 seeds that are germinating right now. take a look at the pics crazy buds!

    I'm thinking about making a growjournal on the strain , what you guys think?

    Maybe referring to the resin?
    Ive picked up some buds there were so purple that they were almost black. Maybe thats what he means?

    I have vol 3 in the Cannabible series and here is what the author, Jason King, says about "The Black": This old school Northern Cal indica is a very trippy strain indeed. The smell is earthy and vitaminy, reminiscent of good Thai bud. The flavor, however, lies somewhere between unsweetened dark chocolate and astringent, not exactly what I would call pleasant. The high is almost instantaneous and narcotic in nature, causing my eyes to redden. I wouldn't want to smoke this herb all the time but as an occasional nighttime fatty, it's a unique and potent treat.

    The sample that was used was grown outdoors, organically in Humboldt, CA.
