Has anyone had any experience with this? aka swamp cooler/desert cooler/wet air cooler. How does it work in your setup as compared to an a/c or compressed refrigerated air? Are the energy savings good? Does it work better in conjunction with an a/c? What are the draw backs? Any input is appreciated; thanks blades.
I was wondering the same thing, I was reading it will only bring temps down by like 10 degrees. If someone else knows from experience it would be great. But 10 degrees won't be enough to bring down the 90 degree temps in the summer so it won't work for me. Also swamp coolers are nice because they double as humidifiers. .
It won't get your reservoir temperature down enough to do any good. For that, you need a chiller IMO. For room temp/humidity control, a "swamp cooler" is great for humidity. A/C is still the best for room temp control, if needed.
