I have my room split in 2 sections, I have 1 400W light over 1 section that has 9 White Widow plants, and I have a second 400W light over the other section that has 10 White Rhino plants. Do I have enough power in the room to get a good harvest from all 19 plants?
Short version: Not really. Those plants are going to bush out alot, and stretch when you go into flowering. How old are they? I'm assuming they're pretty young. Just narrow it down to the 8 best plants from the lot and you'll be doing yourself a favor. You'll get a much better yield than trying to flower all 19.
They are in the 7th week of Vegeatation and I am starting the flowering cycle this week. If 1 more 400W light will fix the problem for sure I really have no other choice but to invest. If adding another 400W light will make that much of a difference it would be foolish not to add one more and spend the extra $150 rather than getting a low yield and being unhappy with the crop I end up with. Will (3) 400W lights be plenty of light to supply all 19 plants with the yield I am looking for? I really am going to be dissapointed with any less than 1.5-2 lbs from the entire grow which will put me right around 2 ounces per plant
You will not hit this weight my friend. I do 22-24 sativas with 4 600 watters and I hit 2LB with that. Even with 1200 watts total you will hit 1LB more or less of small airey buds. IF you trim correctly and lollipop your branches you will hit 1lB of good nugs. But in the end with that much light you will hit only 1LB. Good luck.
I'm going to get a 600W light so that will push my watts up to 1,400 total. I don't see any reason I can't hit 1.5-2 lbs with 1,400W. If I get .5g per Watt that will equal 700 grams of bud, which is just shy of 2 lbs.
I've got 1 white widow under a 400hps and am expecting around 4 oz. Don't know it that helps.....Also, pot size is a big factor of yield. If they've been veggin for that long, in small pots ( <5 gallon) you are gonna be root bound and yield is gonna take a big hit. Also a 400 watt light only covers about 4 square feet effectively.
Well I have a 600W on it's way now, I will have 1,400W in my room once I get the light which is a pretty good amount. I have 20 plants at 1400W which will put me right at 70W per plant, and I will be removing at least a couple plants when I pull the males out after the 1st week of flowering. I'm not being greedy by putting my sights around 1.5-2.0lbs of dry bud, that will give me jub around .5g per watt which is completely realistic.
5 gall. buckets shouldn't be too small, I don't think 7 weeks of Veg is a really long time for the circumstances. I knew I was underpowered with my setup of lighting and that played a role into me deciding to Veg for 7 weeks, I will spend 8-9 weeks flowering so the plant will have about 110-120 days from start-finish. I don't think a 5 gall bucket is too small for these plants.
