I am currently looking into joining the navy, and training to become an underwater welder. I have a GED and I know their policy states you need 15 college credits with a GED. I have also heard that scoring very high on the asvab you can get around this. Does anyone have experience joining with a GED, or with underwater welding/welding. I have my priorities in life straight and this is what I want to do.
