Engagement ring for young lady

Discussion in 'Sex, Love & Relationships' started by Andrew McNeil, Jul 2, 2023.

  1. Hello community! Yes, I am getting married and need your help. My budget for a ring is up to 1.5k $ and I want to get the best quality / price ratio with my choice. Would appreciate a cheaper alternative. Any recommendations what can I get? All replies are welcomed! Thanks a lot in advance.

  4. That's actually quite a good idea. Plus I will have almost 1.5k in savings :D But for real, any other ideas?

  5. Get what U can afford now (CZ) in a setting she likes, replace the stone later (silver anniversary?) after you have a roof over your heads.

  6. That's what I paid 28 yrs ago, if I could do it all over, I should have made something,... alot cheaper.
As soon as they get the ring they got you.
Tell her, that you love her so much,
no amount of money can come close to you.
Then give her one of those silicone rings. If she don't like it, too bad, love ain't about money.

  7. Like the above comment and not to be harsh but most marriages don't usually work out anyway, especially if this is young love. I wouldn't be trying to spend a bunch of money on something that likely will cost you even more if things don't work out.

Me personally, I don't even see the point in getting married. If you love each other then be together, you don't need expensive jewelry and a document to prove you love each other. If the women threatens to end the relationship because you refuse to get married. She never truly loved you anyway.

Take it for what it is though, I'm just a bitter mutha fucka who's been fucked one to many times haha. Good luck to you though!

  8. Wow, yes I agree with you! I guess I'm just "giving" type of person and really like giving more than receiving. I guess it is already too late to revert back after announcing our decision publicly + we both feel marriage is a right path for us both. Nevertheless, thanks a lot for the recommendation!

  9. Aww congratulations!!! I’m not sure what you’ll find in that price range to be honest I think that’s usually how much a wedding band costs.

HLSK makes really beautiful rings, Brilliant Earth as well https://www.brilliantearth.com/ring...MIlcbY7Lfw_wIVojnUAR1XvwQcEAAYAiAAEgKDYfD_BwE

If you’re going the traditional route that is. Maybe try something more unique? Use her personality as a road map and give her something wonderful that isn’t a diamond? For example CZ - look how beautiful this is and affordable

  12. That's actually a decent option. I have also started looking into "cheaper" options since I got convinced there is no need to pay that much for a ring. I am not really a gem expert but what do you think of this alternative https://yourasteria.com/collections/ruby-rings?
It looks good, relatively cheap (at least cheaper comparing to what I was initially planning to spend). Really looking forward hearing from you :) Thanks for your help!

  13. with over 70% of marriages ending in divorce, are you so sure of yourself, if you must go, 2nd-hand ring, pay $50 say it was from ya grandma works everytime, on the 3rd date get her drunk and steal it back, that works everytime as is asking her if shes sure
you will be in for a surprise
GC is a weed site this is the place you come once you are married and the shine is gone

buddy got a pearl in his forskin instead of a ring, she had a diamond(tiny) inserted into her 'button'
8 months later they got divorced and need the jewelry to pay the lawyer ...bummer!

    good luck either way

  14. I personally don’t like any of those rings - are you looking for rubys with a gold band? What’s your price range? $300-650? I can look around.

  15. Yes, I agree. I probably won't spend that much, not sure when I though 1.5k budget is a good idea in first place.

  16. Maybe this is why there are so many divorces lol.

  17. At this point I am not sure what I want :D I definitely decided to spend less than I've initially thought. As far as I see from more experienced people "price tag" doesn't matter as long as love is strong. I would probably buy something decent in a range of $200-300 online. Thanks for your suggestion though.

  18. CZ rings fool the diamond experts
If your woman is real any decent looking ring works.
If you buy a CZ you can get super nice ring
    .

  19. I hear blood diamonds are nice

  20. I skipped the engagement ring and went straight for the wedding band.

    So far, so good.

    All the best.
