Wow, that just shows you how stupid some people are and don't even know what the word 'suffrage' means. -AFD
they did that on.. The Man Show.. I believe. It's amazing I know that because I hardly ever watched that show.
Same on my end... anyone got a link to this? Sounds like something I'd be interested in tearing apart...!
Plays fine in the browser for me? (firefox) ebaumsworld is where it's located. I haven't actually watched this version. found you lazy bastards the link : http://www.ebaumsworld.com/videos/suffrage.html
Boy, was I wrong! That shit was funny as hell! I was in hysterics! BTW, thanks, Walter Sobchak, for the link!
1- Definition at the beginning of sufferage... If everyone is supposed to know the meaning of it then why did they put it up? 2- If someone runs up to you with a camera and a mic shouting orders at you- you're going to be a little confused. Even if you KNOW this guy is just running around asking for people to sign a pointless petition you're probably just going to do it to get him to leave you alone. 3- Living in a society where women are allowed to vote might have a small impact on what people know about it. 4- "End women's sufferage." Not a really specific way of putting things. Could have ment in, for example, a middle eastern Islamist state. If you'd say "end sufferage in the US" then yeah that works but... what? I think it's a valid point- and I think the girl that shouted "YES" really aggressively really loud and the MORONS at the end who were cheering etc just because the guy told them to and got them all excited need a kick in the arse... but this could have been done so much better. They're not really "resting their case" at all...
its about being aware of how your country operates. Anyone who remembered a little bit of their highschool politics or who has a decent vocabulary would know what suffrage means and wouldn't sign that petition. It wouldn't matter how you were approached. Of course, we have no way of knowing how many people refused to sign it. We just have to take note of the critical bias of the piece.
critical bias of the peice? its fucking two kids with a gag idea and a camera. jesus yall are uptight.
exactly, so it is the authors intentions to make his subjects look stupid instead of giving an accurate portrayal of how knowledgeable students are of some basic civic studies. i know my thinking is a bit academic, but it helps on figuring out the real facts from opinions on real pieces of journalism and statistics. so im sorry if it sounds uptight, i just try and look at everything rationally.
The Authors intention was to make a Ha-Ha Video , and possibly post it online, don't over think this guys.
yea i understand your point man, but its just an internet video. dont dissect shit...youre just gonna end up with smaller peices of shit.
