Early update. I've supported more buds, but now I'm out of badge holders. I took some time to take better pictures. can really see the yellowing in the center (older) but still looks like a K def or something idk. EC rose by 0.01 since the res change last night. there's another angle for yeas couple closeups. Now the next gif is a comparison of pictures that are taken without and with a flash (from the camera) as you can see by the different shading, these side buds could really use some side lighting. Oh well, maybe next time. The buds are still developing nicely, maybe they make it to the harvest line
It's Saturday so its update time still could use some side lights... Some of the lowers are growing sideways. imo all the buds should be exactly the same size. Everyone likes closeups
post rescue party thanks MARS FC 4800 ! Getting a lil too moist in there though. Might just spring for a dehumidifier.
Getting nearer, we are entering the stratosphere ... looky all those hangers I actually ordered some more. take it or leave it... I'll take it
Damn right man you turned that around like that Apollo mission the one where they ran out of air or something maybe 13 or 6 i forget. Lol
coming up around the final bend... I changed out the res and filled with 12L RO water + 4.5 mL calnesium + 15 mL Bloom. pH 5.60 EC 650 uS (following a two minute rinse) She's getting pulled in a day or two. Maybe a lil later...
pull it now..so many trics PM could sweep in..bugs too! its done ..donn't mess it up by procasstinating imo
Harvest Day. We actually harvested last night but I was tired The harvest weight was 6lbs 4ounces, but this included fans and stalks (not all of them). the root mass was stained due to biologicals, but otherwise very healthy. There was no slime or bad smell. The buds are tight dense and trichome laden. Buds were hung to dry on the usual bottle rack, which my wife now calls the 'pot rack'. They were irradiated with UVC for 30min. This MARS FC-4800 really rocked the grow area. You won't hear any complaints from this cat.
I love the color change too. I wish I could smell it. Top of the page it was all greeny and then the purple started fading in. It pleases me aesthetically.
I believe it getting cold at night (as low as 16.6°C) affected the anthocyanin pigment production. Some growers consider this a waste, since the cells spend resources producing these color compounds instead of the desired cannabinoids. I don't think it will be much a loss. This is a picture of a previous Tropicana Banana I grew back in 2020. It looks like it was in peat, but maybe coco, and I do remember feeding it Maxibloom throughout. I didn't get much. I also see the similar coloring, which suggests a genetic component to it. as far as smell... well it smells gassy, like cannabis. IMO, it needs to cure to differentiate smell. I was just making a gif but got frustrated :/ I will try it again and post.
What a run! Ya, im wondering how long was your veg? The plant is giant! Congratulations! Sent from my SM-G960U using Grasscity Forum mobile app
Plant was started on the new year and the flowering started pretty close to the start of this journal, so I would say about two months. I lost half this plant during transition; of the four mains, one broke, so I cut the other one off. lol
If you need to use a dehumidifier you can buy a cap to put on it with 6 inch flexible duct and send the hot air out the tent, or if you are concerned about the smell from plants run the flexible duct in front of your exit air filter.
