As I don't have the time yet to install my HPS lamp, I made an emergency incubator for my seedlings. They are desperate for light, and #1 stopped growing and is much smaller and paler than #2. So I took an 18 watt fluro that puts out 100 watts of light (1100 lumens energy saver from Phillips). I know it's not much but for the time being they get more light than infront of the window. I took a cardboard box and put in some tin foil, shiny side glued on the box. At least now they can get enough darkness aswell as light. They can also get used to more light 'cause when they hit the HPS they won't wither from the amount of light they suddenly get. I hope this works......
Hey Misty, Sometimes you have to make do with what you have at hand. Your temporary grow box will probably be ok. Your plants are young enough that your compact flouro will be helpful. Good luck and keep um growing.
It did the trick!!!!!!! They are stimulated to grow again, the inner leaves are much bigger now than early this morning. And that with only 100W and 1100 lumens.... This makes me very happy!
