Elmer's Glue in rolling papers... making my own papers and need advice.

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by Mr Gargamel, Oct 17, 2011.

  1. Hey guys, I need some advice from everyone here, if anyone can be of help.

Back in school, we used to do projects where we would make our own notebook paper. We would make a pulp, mix it with a very thin paste, press it, and let it dry.

Just for fun I wanted to use this technique to make my own rolling paper. In the paste, I used a very small amount of Elmer's glue to bond the paper together... my question is... is this really dangerous to smoke?

The paper looks AMAZING, like it is the perfect thickness, I added flavoring, but it has a small amount of Elmer's glue in it to hold everything together. Is this not good to smoke?

  2. Yea I would probably avoid smoking glue if I could help it...

  3. I mean... Elmers is non-toxic isn't it? But its not worth the risk. You don't wanna get fucked over.

  4. I thought it would be fine because it is non-toxic... because it's barely any, it's mixed with water and it's a very thin coat, it's just in there to bond everything together.

  5. Why do people complicate weed so much? Just smoke a bowl or joint.

  6. ........Learn to roll ur own joints.

  7. Rolling joints isn't the issue here, it's whether or not smoking out of homemade joint papers made using Elmer's Glue is safe.

  8. No you dumb OP, it is a toxic glue. Do not smoke it.

Papers cost $2.... you're obviously gonna need to take a walk.

  9. I fully support darwinism, so I would say go for it

  10. Well... non-toxic for ingestion. You honestly want elmer's glue inside your lungs??

  11. Not to mention the paper he is using. You know that they make most rolling papers from hemp? You can't just use any goddamn paper you want and then add any flavoring you want to it... doesn't work like that. :smoke:

  12. Cover the paper with a sharpie while your at it

    Just buy papers.

  13. I wouldn't do it, but the thought of you trying to do this was pretty cool to me! Maybe make another batch without the elmer's glue? Unless the only way it actually sticked together was cause of this, then you might have to take a trip to the local Headshop/ Gas station.

  14. i wouldn't risk it. i mean, i'm a Raw guy myself. and 90% of the time i vape and make edibles anyway. keep it natural.

  15. It may be non-toxic to eat, but I'm sure it won't be to smoke, use your fucking brain.

  16. i wouldnt smoke glue aha

  17. Oh yea dude its a great idea do it.

  18. Okay, y'all might think I'm an idiot but this was almost 10 years ago in HS. I was one of those stoners who liked to make their own pipes. One night I concocted a pipe from PVC pipe and the bottom of a coke can. In order to fasten the two together I used Elmer's glue. I was the only one to smoke out of the pipe and I was the only one to experience a ride like no other. My only guess is that by igniting the weed I ignited the glue as well and inhaled. I transcended into different "worlds" as if I were in two places at once. I knew that in my present state I was in a small bedroom among friends, but at the same time I was traveling through these dramatic and vibrant "worlds." I have never done shrooms or acid so I can compare them. I have recently tried DMT and the elmers glue was still another level. I have never experimented with it, because it was a sheer mistake and I have smoke all forms of weed since that day and have never been transcended into another world.

Has anyone ever done this, by mistake or intentionally? I was and to this day am an athlete and take very great care of my body and have not experienced any kind of ramifications from smoking elmer's glue. It is in fact "non-toxic" and kids have been known it eat... so what could really be the harm. Please anyone, let me know if you have ever experimented.

  19. go for it
