Yeah man, that's ok. Most microwaves use that and fridges. your water heater pulls that too and if you have a dryer that thing most likely pulls 2000w.
The trick is to not add some mammoth power spike, like a dozen 1K's suddenly. If you are paranoid (and it's a good idea anyway) then offset the added juice with making sure unused lights and televisions don't remain on - just use less juice overall in your daily life. More importantly, pay your electric bill on time.
