Hey does anyone know about how much a 1000 watt light costs per month running 24/7? Or know how I can do the calculations?
Search on the forum, there was a thread just yesterday about this. Someone posted a list for an electricity cost calculator.
how much are you charged per kilowatt? mutiply that by ammount of time youll be running your light times number of days a month. now you have your cost.
Well simple math can help you figure this one put. 1000w = 1kW (My rate is .10 per kWh) So you're running 24/7 for some ungodly reason (why not 18/6?). Thats 24kwh a day. 24 x .10 = $2.40 a day for the light. Add in another $1 or so a day for your fans and what not. So about $3.50 a day = $105 a month extra on top of your current bill.
It would save your 25 $ on 18/6. But you could start 24/0 then move to 18/6. When I plugged in my 1000 instead of 600 I went down to 16/8. Before switching to flower I was down to 14/10. It controlled stretch a lot. And I have pistols like crazy 9 days into flower.
