Electrical Bill Light Cost Hour Comparison

    So I've been Running 2 1000w Leds with 370 True watts. 24/0, along with my 4inch booster fan. My bill has kinda been outrageous here recently since my lights were bought. I was thinking about switching over to 18/6 to give somewhat of a break to my equipment and to my wallet. Will this 6hrs a day make a difference? Has anyone wondered the same thing and had good results?

    U will be fine. I go from 20/4 to 11 outside and dont see a difference. Sun is the best light

    You will be fine at 18/6. You might see a slight reduction in growth speed but IMO giving the plants a proper day/night cycle is beneficial.

    You need to check your house for all energy usage. How many light bulbs do you use in bathroom?. Whats wattage of them?
    How many watts does your inline draw?
    My 6 inch ac infinity draws max 40 watts. Its not just your grow lights.
    You run a heater?
    Electric stove?
    Air conditioner?
    Those 3 things will fuck your ass.

    Agree I also suggest you turn off lights clocks or any elctronic equipment , anything in other rooms you don't use draw in sunlight to replace your indoor light during the day run everything at bare minimal I am currently living in my grow room while I leave the heat off in the entire apartment I save a lot doing this in winter time. If there is a way to save I'm sure you'll find that way to save good luck man and happy growing bro

    I was running 1,200 true watts 18/6 for 5 months and my bill only went up a few bucks lol

    I have a grow tent that takes up the entire room almost but leaves me enough space to sleep and game on xbox it's pretty chill this way

    The heat that comes from my tent usually keeps my room heated up without even turning heat on most of time

    That’s some straight up red neck ingenuity right there.... what about the light lmao. You just sleep with LED’s/HPS right next to you? Why not just get a bigger duct fan and have that blow into ur apartment like a heater vent?

    My neighbors heat keeps my outside exterrior apartment room heat around low 60s so I figure that's good enough for me. I'm a cheap as$ bro lol

    We used to heat our whole house during winter from the heat from our rooms.
    12,000 watts will keep your house 80 degrees all winter!
