Electric grinder cleaning with water instead of alcohol?

    I took my very dirty electric grinder apart (I can put it back together) and was wondering instead of using alcohol am I able to use just water? Can I just swish the plastic parts in water for awhile, then maybe boil the water for awhile?

    I'm just curious how to clean my electric grinder and get product after to smoke.

    Because of the resin/trichomes/stickiness of weed, I have never found anything that cuts thru the goo better than 99% ISO. Water would be painfully inefficient.

    iso works like a charm, why use anything else.

    I was thinking put salt in too but obviously not since salt wouldn't evaporate...

    It's usually around a dollar or so at most drug stores
