Marijuana legalization on the ballot in these states: Here's what voters decided | CNN Politics 2 out of 5 states approved laws this election
Nowhere close to what I hoped for. 2014 was a big year for both Conservatives and weed laws and I guess I’ve gotten too comfortable with how a lot of these elections have went. I had a pro pot governor on the ballot but he lost. I’ve only spent my entire adult life on the losing end of this field so why quit now.
Nigh 60 years of drug related brainwashing, and 50 years of harsh criminalization, are not going to disappear easily… Older folk, and some younger nitwits, are going to vote against legalization of cannabis no matter what truths and/or facts they are presented with, nor by whom… At 73, I probably won’t live to see cannabis legalized on a federal level, but I won’t give up hope, and I’ll continue to do as I bloody well please in my personal life…
A friend who works for a state legislator here in Georgia has submitted a bill supporting recreational weed here. They are hoping we get a runoff election in December in the Senator election and they can add that to the slate... Should be interesting.
