  1. Thoughts?

  2. Thoughts...
I am once again tempted to move to Mexico.

  3. While money still holds value, are the correct things to buy still food, ammo/gun and energy(kerosene, gas, whatever)?

I'm not sold on buying gold or silver.

  4. At least some of us are realizing it.

  5. Yes the first thing you need is food and water for obvious reasons. Then get a gun to protect your food. if you want the luxury of cooked food you can buy some matches and a bon fire thing. Idk about gas but that's up to you but it should be the last thing on your mmind

  6. civil war for the soul of a nation

  7. Well then once the dollar collapses good luck retaining any of your wealth. Gold and Silver are universal currencys. Gold and Silver hold value in every country, not just this one.

  8. NOT the right move. Unless it is to see a truly destroyed system so that you can better appreciate the US.

  9. Oh I totally agree with you. I'm just not sure it wouldn't be more wise to spend all of my money on food and other resources instead. It's really a question of how hard the shit hits the fan and for how long. I'd rather have food to last the entire duration than to have some gold to trade for food. Lots of risk in trading and high prices would mean I wasted money on gold.

  10. Move to Canada, not mexico..

  11. When the USD fails I believe it will be replaced with another fiat currency as opposed to PM's.. BUT.. once the people get fed up enough Gold and Silver will reign supreme..

  12. He just has to go to the right spots. There are some good places to move to move that you could mistake for the US visual or culture wise

  13. That is a very valid point, the average consumer would not be able to effectively barter with gold, especially not in times of economic crisis.

  14. Gold is money (it stores value). Has been for thousands of years and will continue to be. Nothing will change that. It has overall kept its purchasing power for centuries, there's no reason to think it won't continue to do so. It's role isn't to replace food though, it's to replace fiat currency. The point isn't to get gold, it's to leave the US Dollar and have something real instead. Food will surge in price along with PM though, so it's actually a great inflation hedge as well.

  15. Just out of curiosity, what sort of time frame are you guys looking at needing things like food stores and weapons?

Surely it will take a few years to go to shit, then another few years to implode and then another few years to rebuild?

  16. This shit can go down any day now. Things can go to shit overnight.
